If yo like Alan moore's graphic novels I recommend: Watchmen, V for Vendetta, legend of the swamp thing, batman the killing joke, and top ten ;)

Might have to look for this sometime soon, then! Have you read Watchmen? It's also by Alan Moore. That one sold me on the idea that comics can be a legit form of storytelling; really great comic, highly stylised. The film was pretty good too.

There are literally hundreds of references to Victorian literature in the first volume alone - in the second it's more like thousands, what with the New Traveller's Almanac attached to the back. I especially liked the panel in the first volume when Murray inspects a picture of one of the older Leagues - see if you can spot where each of those characters is from. Great review! :D

something that you should read (and when i say read i mean it in a 'look at the pictures' kind of way) is The Arrival by Shaun Tan it is a graphic novel but it is beutifully drawn and no words are in it

This book featured heavily in my dissertation, so naturally I now can't stand it! That's what 6 months of re-reading the same text will do to you.

Are you located in the UK? I study there but live in Belgium, and so every Christmas I have to wait until I get back to England before I can watch the Doctor Who Special on BBC iPlayer. (Unless I get impatient and decide to watch it on some other, lower-quality site.)
