@mightyboosh45 didn't take long for the fire fighters to arrive. The performers were cheered by the crowed where the float had stopped when they decided to walk the route. Not sure if they carried on and walked the whole route though!
Very sorry to see this also - the Vagabonds cart was amazing as it rounded the turn into Portway, then it all went bad in seconds. Best of luck to the club for next year.

Such a sad sight to see. As a member of a Bridgwater Carnival Club myself I can only imagine how devestating this must have been for Vagabonds to see all of their hard work literally go up in flames on their first procession with thier full cart since Bridgwater Carnival.

@mightyboosh45 Yes happened during the carnival. Fortunately the road crew spotted the smoke early and stopped the float before it went any further.

Ive been in carnival over 20 years never seen any think like this soo sorry for you guys well done see you back on the road next year.
One good thing is that no one was hurt and you got it all undercontrol just shows that carnival clubs know what they are doing darren (Hot Rock CC)
