I felt generosity of this kind and i have 1k gold to a random low level who was out in Elwynn. I felt fairly good about it, helping out someone in need. However, 15 minutes later i have 8 or 9 people spamming me for gold. And i realized then that this random person that i had helped out was actually a gold farmer leveling up one of his toons. Shit backfired

and oh man .. now I'm thinking about my old days in EQ. I met so many great people in that game.. had so much fun. Makes me teary eyed thinking about it. It's still a good game, but different. And many ppl jetted when wow and eq2 came out.

I played the trial of WoW like 15 times with my friend. Every time we'd come up with different role plays with our characters and back stories. When we actually finally bought the game, we were role playing alot but then we started acting a bit more realistic with guild stuff. It was becoming a bit more serious, and the PVP was really what we came to love alot. I only got like level 50 but it was still damn fun.
My first week of WoW I was talking to a tauren hunter and he was just roaming around looking for kills. (PvP server) I started talking to him and he gave me 100g. Being my first week I had managed maybe 1 or 2 G. This basically got me on WoW.
Haha how funny is that? I just watched this vid a couple hours ago and just now this guy on Age of Conan randomly opens up a trade with me and gives me 1 gold. I just started this game and I am level 21. So I am a big noob just like u were. Pretty ironic a similar thing happens to me after watching this video. Ha thank you bigsix

I completely agree with you. Such random acts of kindness goes a long way!! I remember when I was a newbie to Guildwars and one day one random high level just helped me on a small mission using his high lvl skills. Later he asked me what kind of armor or weapons I had and I just had the basics. He was surprised and gave me some gold directions to buy armor, some upgrades and good weapon etc. I can never forget that kind act and today try to do same with other random newbies.
hobbs you are awesome, and i love what you are doing with these videos not only helping out lots of people but showing people a way to play that really shows apreciation for games and the way theyre meant to, or should be played, and maybe give all the people who say gamers (especialy on WoW) have no lives a more accurate vision of what players see in gaming, that theres more to it than just sitting down and killing people over the internet for hours on end.

Hehe, you remind me of myself. I also started with EQ 10 years ago and a higher level also did help me out back when I knew nothing about the game. I think I was level 3 or so and this guy gave me 35 silver, I had 6 or so silver to my name so I was ecstatic.
I always gave "true" noobs stuff. By the time I was about to quit playing EQ, money didn't mean anything, I had well over 5m plat in stuff and in the bank. So I just randomly tossed out fungi tunics and other random gear. One lucky wizard got my manastone that I used on countless of my chars, this was also the last day I played EQ.
I can't believe how much Blizzard fucked up the Hobbs way this patch with the AoE cap, I just pulled all of SM with my Druid, it used to take twenty or so seconds to kill everything; it took almost two and a half minutes.
My first MUD was in the early 80's, then in the 90's I played MUME (awesome MUD), then the first graphic MMO was Ultima Online (awesome)... then EQ1 etc...

Phantasy Star Online -> Diablo 2 -> Ragnarok online. from that point on i just enjoyed games that have a similar rewarding feel of mmos like monster hunter "lan games" i feel them to be more fun and less time consuming.
And boy i wish someone would post a video about the things that i gave them... it ended up screwing me over in the long run in my mmorpg experience. it was more of a depressing road block for me rather then fun.

im 40, still play, and started playing in 85 when i first got my first computer ( zx spectrum - called a microcomputer by that time )

I started with RS in elementary school up until 3rd grade.. then i got an XboX and live and started playing CoD 2 up until 4th grade.. Then i got WoW in 5th grade and have been playing since.

Tbh i like these videos alot, dont get me wrong they are great and i surpose youve covered almost everything in the game, so not much more u can show at the moment until more content, but i honestly prefer the WoW videos alot more but that just my view, great videos tho keep them up :D

I wish there where more people like u in this game. Some times kindns is laking from the game. I have a ? to ask you. I dont know if u will read this, But I was wondering. Im a High ranking guild member of a guild that dosent raid to much. My best friend and I have both tryed so hard to get them to work together more. Some will go off and raid with other guilds, most will not show or be really late for our guild raids. could u maybe make a video on maybe about how we can encourage them to play

Phantasy Star Online -> Diablo 2 -> Ragnarok online. from that point on i just enjoyed games that have a similar rewarding feel of mmos like monster hunter "lan games" i feel them to be more fun and less time consuming.
And boy i wish someone would post a video about the things that i gave them... it ended up screwing me over in the long run in my mmorpg experience. it was more of a depressing road block for me rather then fun.

I Played phantasy star universe as well i followed phantasy star online on every console so i was a major player on pso.
Of course we have all played other mmos but i only listed the ones that i was on for years.

that is so right i remember when i played pso online and my toon was a lowbie with no money like a mofo and some higher lvl guy just shiiit load a bunch of money to me i was like wow *_* thx dude i love you.. lol

I remember my 1st GM on WoW. He didn't know us from any other toon. Gave us each 10G. Talked for a bit and joined his guild. Ended up being a great experience. Still are friends with alot of those that we met in that 1st guild. Good times....

started runescape in 02...joined warcraft in 07 I still play the scape more than wow =p,i first came into contact with wow when my best friend from gradeschool picked up wow a little after i got into runescape and we usto compare what we did that day to eachother etc.
