Ever since I was about 15 I've always liked older men. It wasn't until I was 17 that I started dating older men. (25-40). I just found myself attracted to older guys, although my mother never agreed with me on my preference in age lol. Although, I have dated guys around my age, it never usually worked out. I've always been more mature than most of the girls in highschool. I had older friends, hung out with older people. Just because I was more comfortable with them, why older men?, I don't know.
Age shouldn't be an issue as long as you are over the legal age of 18. I myself love older women that are 50yrs or older. I am 22 and with someone who is 51 yrs older than me. I feel if you both equally like each other and content on having a relationship it should not matter on what anyone else says as long as you are happy.

@srthixton I don't see the age as a big problem if you are truly compatible. The bigger issue may be that you're dating your aunt's "ex". Now THAT can be a huge problem. @srthixton I don't see the age as a big problem if you are truly compatible. The bigger issue may be that you're dating your aunt's "ex". Now THAT can be a huge problem. NOBODY is stupid, either your family or the people on youtube. Obviously the "innocent" interactions between the two of you were not so "innocent" even when your aunt was dating him since you found out that you have "always liked each other". As for age, at 45 I was dating 3 girls who were 19, and 2 who were 40. NO big deal.

I dated a guy 7 years younger than I but I broke up with him and a guy 5 years younger for a guy 8 years older. They actually both took me more seriously than the older guy. You would not notice a difference. Only if you asked us would you know there was an age difference. The 5 year younger guy could pass for older than me easily. 27/34 and 29/34 honestly at that point your all young adults.
