@QuantumVisuals I think low subs may be due to the fact I don't maintain my YouTube channel too carefully. I always focus on QubaHQ.com first and then my Vimeo channel.
@mjt57 We shot slices falling vertically down with the camera tilted by 90 degrees. I then keyed them out of the background and added a warp distortion to have them fly in an arch instead of straight line. After that I composited them behind another shot of slices rolling in the water and added some fake out of focus to unify it properly.
Main trick was in setting up the lights properly so that they matched between two shots - but that's mainly thanks to the DoP and his gaffer.
I thought this was damn good 3d...with the creative compositing
