I admire and respect ALL of our fellow countrymen who put themselves in harms way. I agree, we should respect all our fighting forces, especially those that are part of special operations. All of them are seriously bad ass.
All forces are interdependent. None could effectively function without the others. The Marines and Army could not get in theatre quickly and efficiently without the Air Force, and the Air Force couldn't do jack if they didn't have the Army or Marines. Marines and Army are pretty much equal, and while there may be some testosterone flowing through you veins right now, cool it, show some respect to your fellow soldier, and realize that you depend on him like he depends on you

@MThomas92 SEAL Team Six or DESGRU as its called now is like thee Navys Delta Force. They may officially exist but they train with Delta and they must kic ass since the average SEAL cant even make it.
@MThomas92 The "regular" SEAL teams are on par with the Army Special Forces (Green Berets). DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6) is on par with Delta. DEVGRU and Delta Force are America's most elite units and as such they are shrouded in secrecy.

@SGCBallistic Marine Force Recon train AT the USNSWTC in Coronado or Little Creek. almost indentical to SEAL/BUD's training, sometimes with BUD's classes. SFCD's get training similar to SEAL's AFTER passing SFAS/Ranger School.

Also, what does the Marine Corps being trusted with 5 round clips have to do with anything? If anything, that means the Marine Corps only needs 5 rounds to get the job done.

@OldSchoolGladiator anyone in any branch may attend BUDs you look it up. Airmen Soldiers and Marines may attend BUDs and if they graduate and so choose may go into the Navy and continue to become a SEAL or SWCC
@rhsjv Only the US Coast Guard has that ability to send a few members to BUD/S. Must be in US Navy otherwise. Graduating BUD/S leads to SEAL Qualification Training. SWCC does not have a "BUD/S." SWCC is Basic Crewman Training, then Crewman Qualification Training. I'm USNAVY DEP SEAL Challenge Contract holder ship 20110516.

@rhsjv I think you may still be mistaken about (who) is allowed to participate in (Basic Underwater Demolition/ SEAL) training. It is strictly an A School for only Navy or fresh Navy enlisted from pre-buds in Great Lakes. BUD/S has everything to do with SEALs. Nothing to do with SWCC. SWCC may train in naval base coronado aka same place as SEAL but they do not go through (BUD/S) they do Basic Crewman Training then CQT. idc about your "references"-This one is SEAL challenge contracted-ship-in-may

@MThomas92 The "regular" SEAL teams are on par with the Army Special Forces (Green Berets). DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6) is on par with Delta. DEVGRU and Delta Force are America's most elite units and as such they are shrouded in secrecy.

@SGCBallistic Marine Force Recon train AT the USNSWTC in Coronado or Little Creek. almost indentical to SEAL/BUD's training, sometimes with BUD's classes. SFCD's get training similar to SEAL's AFTER passing SFAS/Ranger School.

I agree, SEALs are total badasses, I've got a brother who is going to the USNA to be one, but you gotta respect First Recon. They go through dive training, airborne, and of that stuff. So don't hate on First Recon. Plus, who cares how long someone's been trying to kill Bin Laden? I think the SEALs were trying to kill Bin Laden for more than 40 minutes, I don't think you know what you're talking about there..

@21freeskiier21 i agree. the Marines are doing the dirty work up front taking all the casualties while everyone else is getting prepared to defend that area. im joining the corps once i graduate highschool ill tell u this. 5 bullets in a Marine's m16 clip is way more effective than 30 in any other. u spend 2 weeks straight shooting. u dont graduate unless ur a dead eye with that damn weapon 5 rounds even in bootcamp people need to get over the fact marines are the deadliest weapon with a rifle

@OldSchoolGladiator anyone in any branch may attend BUDs you look it up. Airmen Soldiers and Marines may attend BUDs and if they graduate and so choose may go into the Navy and continue to become a SEAL or SWCC

@rhsjv Only the US Coast Guard has that ability to send a few members to BUD/S. Must be in US Navy otherwise. Graduating BUD/S leads to SEAL Qualification Training. SWCC does not have a "BUD/S." SWCC is Basic Crewman Training, then Crewman Qualification Training. I'm USNAVY DEP SEAL Challenge Contract holder ship 20110516.

@rhsjv I think you may still be mistaken about (who) is allowed to participate in (Basic Underwater Demolition/ SEAL) training. It is strictly an A School for only Navy or fresh Navy enlisted from pre-buds in Great Lakes. BUD/S has everything to do with SEALs. Nothing to do with SWCC. SWCC may train in naval base coronado aka same place as SEAL but they do not go through (BUD/S) they do Basic Crewman Training then CQT. idc about your "references"-This one is SEAL challenge contracted-ship-in-may
