Loving Matt Smith, DT was awesome too. I don't like '42'. I was expecting more after a two week wait, s3 is scary, s2 got style, s5 is classic who, s1 is wonder, s4 is a shambles and catherine tate is a show off. S4 is, well, awful. The finale was stupid, the fires of pompiee was worst though. I did enjoy partners in crime and unicorn and the wasp though. Fave DW eps: Blink, the empty child, the big bang, unicorn and the wasp, family of blood, the elleventh hour. Most are Moffats, but i like all

Still in my opinion, Tennan'ts strongest series. He proved to be a fantastic actor, the pairing of David and Freema proved to be dynamic and the finale is the most epic and original finale of the whole 4 series. The only one not to rely on Daleks and create a dystopian world.

Other than that it was pretty good, apart from not so good episodes such as The Lazarus Experiment. and the Daleks 2 parter.

I thought The sound of drums wasn't too bad but I agree the last episode was a huge let down. Mostly due to the way the doctor returned.

Your right about the dalek episodes being ... "not so good" In fact I think they would have ruined the series had it not been for the utopia and blink episodes

Those stories r what I call middle of the road episodes, they are just the sorta average thing like 1 of those 'everyday, business as usual' adventures that a lot of Tv series have. They r fine but there nothing 2 make them really stand out, and I know I'm kinda overlooking the fact that the Doctor beat SATAN in 1 of those stories (seriously if that doesn't prove how awsome the Doctor is I dunno what will)

Something I've discovered about Dr Who the only real consensus among fans is that they like Dr Who. that is literally it theres hardly any mass consensus ovr much else even their fav Doctors. I've seen the new series + I do love it and bcos its the one that got me in2 the franchise its my fav BUT I've seen and loved older stories as well. Hartnell and Baker r as much the Dr as Tennent and Smith. its the same show at heart.

Exactly. I don't believe in the 'classic' or 'new' titles either I just use them when I can't be bothered to explain why I don't or when I'm quoting, as I did in the comments above.  See, the thing is, the people who don't like 'NuWho' are about 1% of the overall fanbase but they're so loud and we pay so much attention to them that there seems like a lot more. I think people don't like it because they discovered it in the '90s when it wasn't on and they want to be weird. Sad, really

Its my fav show EVA now, and I'm counting the older eps too, Edge of Destruction is a blk+wht 1st Dr story that I think is gr8 but underrated. Genesis of the Daleks, thus far my all time fav classic story. these nuwho haters always talk about how Big Finish is so much bttr. BF's gr8 BUT it updated the series just like nuwho did

Yeah I'd seen a few episodes but I became a fan after 'Human Nature'. By the end of 2007 I had Seasons 27-29 (see what I did there?) on DVD, a load of books, and a few 'classic' DVDs. I've been collecting ever since.

I think if the show hadn't been canceled it wudda changed into something similar to the new series today anyway. I mean it wudda updated, its updated itself in the 70s and 80s but the differ btwn the 60s, 70s and 80s TV landscape wasn't as vast the differ btwn tv then and now. its VERY differ nowdays

@WhiteObelisk6307 u c in a show where the lead character changes apearence and personality years, as well as the supporting cast, the interior of the only standing set as well as essentially the setting, style etc, of each and every episode, every1 is gonna have vastly different opinions. Eg I refuse to belive EVERYONE thought Baker's first few stories in the 'golden era' were the greatest ever, theres never been utter unity. I feel RTD's run was a new golden era.

@TheMasterNo6 sigh. this is the big good/bad issue with dr who. any franchise thats as old as DW has a diverse fanbase. add to that that sci fis tend to have even more diversirty of opinion. add to that the fact that there are distinct eras to the show marked by the head writers and more noticably by the lead actor and the fact that there was a significant 'hiatus' to the show meaning it returned post 2000 and ppl can b wary of post millenial revivals of old franchises. continued....

No, doctor doesn't absorb the time vortex. He absorbs a living sun and it strts to burn him up. Captain Jack is NOT a time lord, he is a human who got made immortal by rose at the end of series 1.The key that the doctor wears @ 0:30 is the TARDIS key onto which he has made 2 copies of and placed perception flters onto before giving them 2 jack and martha. They make them not noticeable so they can go about trying to foil the master's plans.

After the horrible start to this series which left me almost contemplating giving up on the new age Doctor Who, this trailer has got me back in the spirit.
