  • timelapse is great . but if you buy your camera for lifetime this is a problem . Timelapse project will have thousands of pictures , if you notice that digital cams shutter life is about 250.000 frames you can imagine how shorter is the digital shutter life .. sorry for my bad english thanks !!

  • @labso00 Cameras are getting cheaper, and people are changing cameras every few years. I don't think they keep it for a lifetime.

  • @MrCheesyCam That is true , if you live in USA UK CANADA AUSTRALIA etc , but if you live in GREECE ( as i do ) its a lifetime dream to have a 550d , 7d ..... hahahaha !

  • Does anyone want to buy one of these exact remotes BNIB? I got one for xmas but it doesn't work with 60D. Works for almost all other Canons but 60D.

  • how does it turn off?

  • @memkills To turn this one off, you flip the battery around. I've had mine for years, and it only takes a second.

  • Will this remote work on the 1100D?

  • Hey im getting the t3i and i plan on doing tons of Timelapses of sunsets...ect. What size SD card would be the best for this? also does this intervalometer work on the t3i? Thanks man (:

  • @TravisDoyon I use Transcend 32GB Class 10 cards. Make sure you buy from a legit retailer. Yes this remote also works on T3i.

  • @MrCheesyCam okay cool, Do u think amazon would be trust worthy?

  • @TravisDoyon Yeah check my blog for the transcend retailers.

  • Are you are of anything like this that can be used with the Sony NEX-5N or the Sony NEX-7? There's no place to plug it in on either camera so I guess it would have to be infrared? I plan to buy one of those cameras and would love to be able to do time lapse with it.

Will great appreciate any info you may have.

    Thanks

  • does it light up so u can see at night ?

  • @slyzxx1 I'd have to check. Can't remember.

  • Dang that looks exactly like the Canon TC-80N3.... and probably cheaper, ... err more affordable, I mean.

  • @oceandrew the TC-80N3 won`t work anyways for the t2i

  • will this work for t3i?

  • cool. but i dont like the wires :S

if your camera has infrared. you can use this intervalometer: tempus.bymac.org

If there is no infrared input on your camera, you can use this wireless intervalometer: tempusALL.bymac.org

  • How does the exposure time function work? Got the 60D and it will not override the cameras exposure settings. Sorry I accidentally threw out the instructions :\

  • @SpiderMonkey85 Set the camera to M, and just use manual exposure. Or adjust the exposure compensation in the camera and the camera will do it automatically.

  • Anyone tried this with 600d?? Love to get this!!

  • @dsitha Same timer will work on a Canon 60D also.

  • @MrCheesyCam Thanks!! Im gonna get it frm Amazon (:

  • the box is for the other version judging from the picture

  • Will it stop after taking a certain amount of pictures? Or does it keep taking picture untill either the card or battery dies?

  • @bakonlicious You can set it to a number of photos, or infinity.

  • Is there anywhere to get this in canada? If not anyone want to be my american friend and buy one and ship it to me for money?

  • @Rhaabjorn

Have you tried B&H photo? I'm pretty sure they'll ship to Canada.

    Greetings from Iran

  • @saeidmomtahan thanks, I'll probably have to pay extra with taxes and shipping but so far

  • @Rhaabjorn Look on Ebay. There are quite a few of them available. Some of them look exactly like the one in this video, but different brand. And it comes straight out of China. Pretty cheap!

  • I have the same one for my 5D II but how come when I set it to take 99 pictures it only shoots 40 then it stops?

  • can stand how long ur camera?

cause when i use usb remote...just can stand till 72picture only....==

  • great info. i am getting one of these! thanks for the video

  • Does it fit the 60d?

  • when Timelapsing, is it possible to turn screen display off to save more power?

  • @illusiondee ya just plug the usb to video cable into your camera... it will think you have an external display connected and shut the screen off :-)

  • my t2i can only do 30 second long exposures, is there a way to use the long frames and the intervalometer setting at the same time? I want to do a time lapse of the stars moving.

  • @JOMO19921993 Shouldn't your camera be set to bulb mode when using a remote? I have the T2i and I can open the shutter for as long as I want. But I have to put the camera in bulb mode...

  • @JOMO19921993 : Yep Bulb mode will allow you to open the shutter as long as you want.

  • @BelgianEvo how would you achieve this if you wanted to snap pics at something for 24 hours to do a time laspe with out the battery running out is there a way to hook this up to another power source

  • @mrrap4food : There is a net adapter for the Canon eos 550d called ACK-E8. With that you can hook it up to the power-net and have continues power. Maybe you can also buy a battery grip with 2 batteries included that will have a longer running period. If you then turn of the display (press DISP) while you are shooting, then i presume the batteries will last much longer.

  • @BelgianEvo Thank you so much thats a life saver on the ack e8 u should do a video on it!

  • @BelgianEvo So you're saying if I set the camera to bulb mode I can set the remote to leave the shutter open for say 100 seconds and also take a picture automatically every 5 minutes?

  • @jesiahd : Hmm i don't think that's possible. I'm not sure tough. It's either one of the 2 options in that case i think

  • @BelgianEvo Alright thanks for the reply. I guess I'll have to keep searching the internets :-)

  • Very useful - thanks. Did you manage to get it to operate the 550D video functions?

  • So I check up on your site frequently and I just finished watching that Crystal Light contest video you made. I was just curious, what software do you use to edit your videos? I recently bought and installed Corel VideoStudio Pro x3 but the preview lags sooooooooo bad. Please and thanks?
