timelapse is great . but if you buy your camera for lifetime this is a problem . Timelapse project will have thousands of pictures , if you notice that digital cams shutter life is about 250.000 frames you can imagine how shorter is the digital shutter life .. sorry for my bad english thanks !!
@MrCheesyCam That is true , if you live in USA UK CANADA AUSTRALIA etc , but if you live in GREECE ( as i do ) its a lifetime dream to have a 550d , 7d ..... hahahaha !
Hey im getting the t3i and i plan on doing tons of Timelapses of sunsets...ect. What size SD card would be the best for this? also does this intervalometer work on the t3i? Thanks man (:
Are you are of anything like this that can be used with the Sony NEX-5N or the Sony NEX-7? There's no place to plug it in on either camera so I guess it would have to be infrared? I plan to buy one of those cameras and would love to be able to do time lapse with it.
How does the exposure time function work? Got the 60D and it will not override the cameras exposure settings. Sorry I accidentally threw out the instructions :\
@SpiderMonkey85 Set the camera to M, and just use manual exposure. Or adjust the exposure compensation in the camera and the camera will do it automatically.
@Rhaabjorn Look on Ebay. There are quite a few of them available. Some of them look exactly like the one in this video, but different brand. And it comes straight out of China. Pretty cheap!
my t2i can only do 30 second long exposures, is there a way to use the long frames and the intervalometer setting at the same time? I want to do a time lapse of the stars moving.
@JOMO19921993 Shouldn't your camera be set to bulb mode when using a remote? I have the T2i and I can open the shutter for as long as I want. But I have to put the camera in bulb mode...
@BelgianEvo how would you achieve this if you wanted to snap pics at something for 24 hours to do a time laspe with out the battery running out is there a way to hook this up to another power source
@mrrap4food : There is a net adapter for the Canon eos 550d called ACK-E8. With that you can hook it up to the power-net and have continues power. Maybe you can also buy a battery grip with 2 batteries included that will have a longer running period. If you then turn of the display (press DISP) while you are shooting, then i presume the batteries will last much longer.
@BelgianEvo So you're saying if I set the camera to bulb mode I can set the remote to leave the shutter open for say 100 seconds and also take a picture automatically every 5 minutes?
So I check up on your site frequently and I just finished watching that Crystal Light contest video you made. I was just curious, what software do you use to edit your videos? I recently bought and installed Corel VideoStudio Pro x3 but the preview lags sooooooooo bad. Please and thanks?

@labso00 Cameras are getting cheaper, and people are changing cameras every few years. I don't think they keep it for a lifetime.

Does anyone want to buy one of these exact remotes BNIB? I got one for xmas but it doesn't work with 60D. Works for almost all other Canons but 60D.

how does it turn off?

@memkills To turn this one off, you flip the battery around. I've had mine for years, and it only takes a second.

@TravisDoyon I use Transcend 32GB Class 10 cards. Make sure you buy from a legit retailer. Yes this remote also works on T3i.
