Hi stumblinh. Im wondering if you have actualy put the slayer suspension arms on the truck. Cause Im looking to do the same thing as you. And also if you have put the slayer arms, tie rods etc. do they just bolt right on to the e-revo chassis? Thanks. I would be greatful to hear from you.
What did you think the slayer was anway... LOL its a 2.5 revo w/ short a-arms and new tires/body. None of the parts are available yet, but after running at the track a few times I know that it isn't going to be nearly as fun as racing the revo (e-revo) so I think I'm putting a hult to this project.
A slayer is a revo 2.5 with short a-arms, new wheels and a body with some custom gear ratio's in the tranny to make up for the small tires :) LOL Everything else is the same.. and the only difference btw the revo 2.5 and the e-revo is 1.5"'s of wheel base and the brushless ready tranny and motor of your choice ;P
Simple.. it's not capable of 4s lipo at the moment. The ESC itself is actually capable, but traxxas hasn't released the program tool yet so noody can change the settings. I'm betting once released it will take up to a 5s load w/o issues as long as you install the fan. But until then this will do. I actually have a Mamba Monster Max v2 en route, as I will be first in line due to my v1 taking a dump. This motor will be replaced with a nice medusa v2 60mm 2000kv motor soon enough as well.
I have an Eslayer the 8th scale. goes 70+ lol

I gave up on this project as it handles really really bad on the track, fine for bashing thing. Not worth the trouble iMO other than show..

Okay thanks anyways. But do you know if the suspension arms n stuff just bolt right on to the e-revo chassis?
rcowner153 3 years ago

me again im building 10 cell (12V) 4500mah hydride PACKS do you think this will hurt my stampede VXL with 30/83 gears
merritts28 3 years ago
I bet that VXL motor is getting hot!
Even if you're not at critical RPM it must be heating up with the amp draw due to the heavy E-Revo chassis
hardcoretam 3 years ago
Yeah but at least he got rid of the freakin retarded heavy stock wheels. Those things on there now must be half the weight.
