im a beginner with flying and is this plane durable and a good staters plane i've practiced a lot with a simulator and i've flown with very much 2 channel aiplanes hope to hear from you soon
@jespercoasters If you've had a lot of simulator practice, try one of the four channel models. I like the like Micro P51. You will be able to do rolls, loops, and a lot more the little Cessna can't do.

The Super Cub is great, and handles abuse well. Makes a good "beater" plane after you learn to fly, and buy other ones. Wing took a direct hit to a light pole once without a scratch. I'm thinking of taking it to the flying field this morning if it's not too windy. Needs room to fly!
LOL, good luck, it's been there for about two weeks. I even called the power company, and asked if they could come get it out, but they said they didn't have a bucket truck that big. I believe that they have one big enough, they just didn't want to come and get it. Maybe there will be some high winds knock it down soon. At least I can get some parts off of it that are still good. :)
I have a few ideas on how to get your plane down. I have had this experience with some pretty tall trees. The first thing you want to do is try climbing the tree, not too high, and take a long extendable stick to carefully wedge the plane out of the tree. If you can afford damage to the wings or anything, try taking something like a potato cannon or one of those tennis ball launchers from pet stores and just shoot! If the plane is too hard to hit, try hitting the branches, and it will fall out.
Thanks, but acutally, it fell out this morning!! I just went outside, and it was upsidedown laying by the tree. I didn't come without a price however, I have a broken wing, prop tail, and believe it or not, all the electronics are still in working order!! They are not perfect, the elevator doesn't work quite right. They did get rained on. I'll just order a new one, and use the one I have now for parts. Hey, if you are going to buy one, don't forget to buy the drop module too! :)
The Decathlon does look pretty cool. I got the Super Cub when I went into Hobby Town and said, "sell me a trainer I can beat up, and glue together". That was the extent of my research. If I was starting out today, I'd buy a four channel trainer to start with, but the Super Cub still flies today after a year of abuse, three engine cowls, several propellers, and a new motor mount/gear assembly.
hi which of these 2 plnes would you recommend the most. these are the 2 i am considering but i do not have a very large area to fly locally which is where the parkzone seems better. however the super cub seems like an amazing plane and im thinking it might be worth the journey to the nearest fields. i would be greatful for your opinion. Thanks
Both planes are for different things. The Super cub is a good trainer, but needs a lot of room. I joined a flying club after I got tired of waiting for the soccer Moms to go home. The Micro Cessna is a little easier to fly, but much easier to break. I fly that around my front yard, and at the parks I like to walk, and fly it around trees. the Cessna will take more maintenance.
if you are new to R\C flying, you might want to get a good flight simulator first it will save you the money in repares that you put out for fixing the plane.
Yes, they are basically the same product. The transmitters that ship outside of the USA might be set to a different "mode", however. There's a mode 1 and mode 2 switch on my transmitter, but it doesn't nothing because it's a USA model. The mode determines what parts of the plane each control stick controls
It was something like $149 I think, but forget it. The newer models are much better.
Go to Horizon Hobby to find out.

I will give you a free SuperCub, if you can come get it out of an 80 foot tree.

Ok! LOL I'm that desperate to get one because I am going to buy a video camera for more YouTube videos.

I would have bought the Parkzone Mini Dechatoln(sp) becuase it would look cool beside your Hobbyzone SuperCub.

I didn't choose that prop myself. It's what Hobbyzone has been sending me for replacements. Seems to work good.

Buy spares, like propellers, gear boxes, and?
