@Strefanash Not every sickness is demonic nor is all mental illness, buy I do believe that most mental illness is demonic. Many of our sins are anchored in the demonic. Unclean spirits seek constantly to influence us, but even without the demonic our natures are sinful. The danger is if we do not acknowlede the evil forces we have no defense agaist them. It is not unreasonable to suppose that some people heavily and deeply involved in the occult once converted may not, on convertion, lose entirely the influence of those demonic spirits which have oppressed them. The word normally translated "possessed" is actually the word "demonised." @MsCRyPtOnItE I do believe that when a person is saved, there is a measure of his holy spirit that he or she is filled with, and that, that small measure must be increased or multiplied by the individual in his or her persute of it...it could be that the measure she had may not have been enough to drive out the spirits that she had before she got saved...but that's just a theory, in any case she was delivered...

@Strefanash Not every sickness is demonic nor is all mental illness, buy I do believe that most mental illness is demonic. Many of our sins are anchored in the demonic. Unclean spirits seek constantly to influence us, but even without the demonic our natures are sinful. The danger is if we do not acknowlede the evil forces we have no defense agaist them. These people that you are judging because of your unbelief give glory to God for the miricles that are performed that proves their faith.

To deny the word is to call God a liar, and I don't believe that's what you intend. There is a lot more demonic activity than you realize. I wish everyone would pray for understanding of the word before they try to use it to disprove fellow Christians. It is not unreasonable to suppose that some people heavily and deeply involved in the occult once converted may not, on convertion, lose entirely the influence of those demonic spirits which have oppressed them. The word normally translated "possessed" is actually the word "demonised." It does not mean that in these converted people Christ has not overall control, merely that these demonic spirits may still be able to manifest if not cast out. A difficult idea for some to grasp?

The Christian can experience Psalm 42 depression but not full demonic possesion. The house (person's heart) would have to be void of the Spirit in order for something like that to happen. God's elect will be raised in the last day as Jesus promised. His elect will be renewed and washed and sealed by the Spirit. (John 6:44, 1 Cor 6:11, Eph 1:11-14

I should add, though, that it is possible for a person who becomes a Christian and to have a demon because no one kicked it out. I had one and no one saw it for a year after I got saved. I saw it myself in my eyes once in the mirror but didn't want to believe it was there In bible college one of the students who ministered in prophetic ministry saw it in me and cast it out. I felt it leave and confusion I had left with it. It had been like a fog I didn't know was there till it was gone.

@MsCRyPtOnItE I do believe that when a person is saved, there is a measure of his holy spirit that he or she is filled with, and that, that small measure must be increased or multiplied by the individual in his or her persute of it...it could be that the measure she had may not have been enough to drive out the spirits that she had before she got saved...but that's just a theory, in any case she was delivered...
