  • Yes, watching Guy get down and score WILL indeed take on a whole new meaning...

  • Is/was this for real (I'm assuming that it is/was!)?

  • hockey, disco and hot bitches god damn i wich i lived in the 70s !!!!!!

  • Maybe the funniest thing EVER!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

  • Which nightclub was this?

    Did it actually go platinum?

  • @666mathew The club is mentioned in this clip. As for how well it sold, I don't know. I just know that later in the year the anti-disco people made their message loud and clear, and the genre started to die out.

  • Just what the world needed...a Disco-hockey hybrid album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I look like the girl at 0:20 (same haircut and everything) only a little less like a man. I guess that makes me a hot bitch.

  • Shake, shake, shake......shake, shake, shake......shake you booty, shake your booty!!! Those lyrics were pure gold!!

  • Macho, macho man, I want to be a macho man. Long live disco!! Those were the days my friend. I thought they'd never end..............

  • The best Hockey-Disco album ever. How can you even make fun of this?

  • The Leafs should have done something like this.

  • Bitches looked sooo hot back then, shit.

  • @Tata996 of course they're hot. It was filmed in Montreal

  • Actually, it's not that bad ;)

  • I wonder if there's a complete recording of this song left anywhere. Hmmm.......

  • Only in Canada...

  • O M G!

this is such a terrible idea!

  • good god.

  • this is why disco got no respect, anyone and everyone was recording it, there was bound to be a backlash against it sooner or later....the album itself is very formulaic disco for its time

  • I loved to watch Guy play, even tried to play like him...but Disco???? I gotta draw the line somewhere! haha

  • WOW, Def Jam eat this hahah

  • That french toast on toothpicks thing looked pretty tasty!

  • Dude, it's a fondue. Perhaps the *third* most influential cultural forces of the 1970s, after sports and disco!

  • Fondue rules =D

  • Wow, how stupid does one have to be not to know what fondue is?

  • HOLY FUCK. SERIOUS STUFF!!! LOL!

  • This should be the new HNIC theme.

  • Simmons

  • simmons

  • "Get down and score."

  • The album was put together by some of Montreal's best music producers and studio musicians... nuff said....ha ha ha ha

  • They should've shown close-ups of feet one more time!

  • Fondue! Carnations! Disco-hockey! This is officially theme party material.

  • sptguy33

  • Merci Beaucoup Monsieur Simmons.

  • simmons

  • simmons

  • Is this a Monty Python sketch? I didn't see any of the regulars, but maybe they were in drag.

  • GUY GUY GUY GUY!!!

    The Best!

    Go Habs Go!!

  • love the fondue pot

  • Guy, Guy, Guy....

    Ha! Que de souvenirs...

  • Lafleur was a great hockey player during the disco era producing 560 goals and 1353 points in his career. He lead the league in scoring three times and won two MVPs. He recorded six 50-goal and six 100-point seasons. Wow!

  • lol look how sexy he was back in the 70s

  • wow.

i wanna see a koivu rap album.

  • Hehe...that's pretty dumb or pretty cool depending on your perspective.

  • he is my idol as a player

  • Hey, as long as it's for the glory of Disco.

  • euhk sa fais peur mais on l'aime pareil.

    guy! guy! guy! guy! guy!

  • not my hockey idol nnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i bet the record flopped,

  • STAND STRAIGHT!

  • It took 2 and a half years to negotiate, and 5 days to record...lmao

  • jkmunnie u r stupid azz

  • GUY WAS DA MAN! but dear god this is horrible. but funny. GO HABS GO those were the days.

  • Ah, yes. Guy Lafleur making his very first disco album with the sport that most Canadians watch during winter, ice hockey.

Ah oui. Guy Lafleur qui fait son premier disque de disco en vinyl avec le sport que la plupart des Canadiens regardent durant l'hiver, le hockey sur glace. :)

    -MK

  • if he were in my high school he would have got his ass kicked because becasue guys into disco were in the closet back then.

  • If people in Quebec saw someone beating up Guy Lafleur, they'd crucify him! LOL!

  • worse than slinging Yoplait, Guy.

  • I love disco. It's so sexy! :-D

  • Le réel c'est l'illusion de l'irréel !

  • Dancin fools... Swinginly arrogant gestures, enduced by coke, Ego, and all the other Nonentities that inhabit the trite banality of DISCO... Funk/RnB/Soul/Jazz/Latin was the original and best form of dancing... Disco is for the Bobby Brown's of the world... homo's . At least he admits he can't dance...

  • "Local Disco Society"?...in Quebec?

    Are you kidding me?!

  • That's right...we don't close at 1 in the morning...SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER en français...tête carrée!

  • Ahem! Alot of disco produced in the 70's came from french producers. Take Gino Soccio for example. There is no doubt he was a huge influence in the french disco scene.

  • And let's not forget Patrick Hernandez, who had a huge hit with "Born to Be Alive". Or the Gibson Brothers, with "Cuba", "Que Sera Mi Vida", and other hits. Or Didier Marouani & his band Space, with "Magic Fly".

  • 100K to produce this crap?

Does anyone know how many records have been sold?

And...who's the super chick near the end of the clip?

  • painful
