I agree with Fresco that such thinking can be dangerous as well as it has no basis on social designs BUT we are just now learning reality is fluid & there might be some element of 'truth' to some 'supernatural' events. There is a whole science (using the scientific method) dedicated to finding the answers (like 4 example, research in prayer has shown some effect and the research continues). I feel to totally dismiss these things as foolish is to dismiss possibilities that are reality for many.

You're right however, it's exactly the opposite effects that the people who promote intercessory prayer subscribe to. In other words, there are no measurable positive results when using intercessory prayer. Meditation, on the other hand, has positive measurable results as done by scientific studies.

Love the bit about shopping. Next time you walk thru a mall, check out all the men who are occupying corners of shops, magazine stands and free benches. It's like when you tether a dog to a post to go and take care of some errands. The fact is, I hat malls and that whole seen too, it's a totally feminine-geared environment. Give me an open air market with weird characters and adrenaline of the haggling and randomness...I love that.
