This is not the kind of food we mexicans usually eat. Burritos are only popular in some northern cities and the USA, and most of the time we use nachos (totopos) to prepare chilaquiles. I'm from Mexico city and I've only eaten cheese nachos a couple of times, and I only eat burritos when I buy them in a super market, because it's not very common for a regular mexican to consume those dishes. What we do eat a lot is tacos, quesadillas, gorditas, sopes, enchiladas, tortas, tamales and a lot more.
The restaurant's name is TOMATILLO haha is funny, i am mexican, and here the burritos are such big, i am so proud that mexican food is present there, just don't go to TACO BELL a bad american imitation of mexican food! saludos! 안녕!!!
This is note real mexican food is an bad imitation of mexican food I am mexican and im sure that i tell, i you whant i can give you a ride over real mexican food my email is glsanch@gmaill.com
well , those dishes are snacks like lizale83 metion !!!! deverian comer una buena carne asada , un cabrito al pastor si señorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr un buen menudo , unas gorditas , sopes etc !!!!!
Hi guy, really we don´t eat this kind of food, the Mexican food for every day, is vegetables or pasta soup, salad and meat, the enchiladas, pozole, tamales, chilaquiles and other things are ANTOJITOS like snacks or traditional food. if you want more information or a video of them let me know ok
wow I didn't know there were mexican restaurants in Korea ! I'm mexican so to me this is a good thing because i wanna go to South Korea sometime. This would be a great place to go. Plus the food looks great (:
That's not really "real" mexican food, you should try more authentic dishes. I would suggest something like pozole, mole, enchiladas, chiles rellenos o unas gorditas.
yes... we eat nachos... and also we use to eat burritos a lot.. but the burritos i use to eat are different... this one has so many thing inside hehe ^^ any ways... im glad that a korean likes Mexican food... i'm mexican and i like korean food :)
nachos yes... but the burrito... I think they invented... but they have some idea... those are snacks in mexico... ;I'm glad they have Mexican food there ...

Hmmm, I'm not too familiar really with Mexican food, because I live in Florida in the US, and even though we have a large Latino population here, primarily we have only Puerto Rican and Cuban food, because those are our caribeño neighbors ^^; But when I do eat Mexican food, I usually get arroz con pollo, it's the best dish I've tried so far in Mexican cuisine! ^^ Of course, for all I know, that might be one of the more Americanized dishes, much like burritos and nachos ^^;
Nachos and burritos are foods that mostly Americans eat, I even go as far as saying that they were invented in the U.S. Either way, that's not Mexican food.
I'm japanese-mexican and actually, buritos are not a common thing in mexico... actually nobody eats burritos here it's really weird, but nachos are the most delicious thing in the world, but that is often found in expensive restaurants such as chilis or that stuff; all those things in korean or japanese restaurants of "mexican food" are mostly food invented by americans =)
@DBSKcollab I'm Mexican and not where you live but in Mexico, if you eat burritos. consumed in states such as Sonora, Sinaloa, Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, etc.. were invented in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Americans madea rough copy, call: burritos. As seen in this video. Since the burritos are not that way and have real hot. Video nachos are rare, so here are not. I feel disappointed, but that is not Mexican food. is more false than taco bell
@Tremulacion i live in mexico city, and i'm really sorry but i couldn't understand what you tried to say, you have a lot of grammar mistakes and i can't read it really well x( but i kinda understood what u said and you are right
BTW, if one of these days you really consider the chance to come to México, I'll be glad to welcome you and your friends in my house! No money, why spend money for that matter? I'll be happy to do it! I'm serious! Or if you don't want to, I can help you find a nice-cheap hotel here, and or help you translating from spanish to english...
I don't know Korean yet, dammit!
PS: Don't worry if you bring some of your beautiful Korean girl friends to México!
Dessert's are also very diverse on "Mexican Food" and we have a lot of tasty dessert's too! But that thing I see on the video on some kind of "cones"... Never saw that before here in México!
XD
But don't worry, that's normal. I've heard stories about things like that. I bet what we eat as sushi and what we call "Japanese food" or "Chinese food" are also a little bit different than what you eat in Asia. But who knows! I'll know next year that I'll go to Japan! Hopefully!
If you're interested in Mexican Food, which is more complex and diverse, I should recommend you to come to México in the first place! We'll be happy to welcome any of you! And try, let's say Pozole, Tacos (I bet you've heard the word), Enchiladas, Chilaquiles, Barbacoa, Birria, Sopes, Menudo or Pancita, Cabrito (or a baby goat XD), Caldo de Cabeza (which is the head of a cow on some kind of soup. It may sound gross but trust me, is really tasty!) and stuff like that...
In my opinion, Mexican food is just what some people call "Exotic food", and we know that food as "Mexican Cravings" or "Antojitos Mexicanos" in spanish. Nachos and Burritos are not Mexican food. We don't eat "nachos" on a daily basis. If you're watching a film on the cinema, then you will probably have some nachos, but just like popcorns or a coke. Nachos and Burritos are popular due to American people, but just to be clear, that's not food to us Mexicans.
In my opinion, there's no such a thing like "Mexican food" per se. We Mexicans, we eat normal food!!! Just normal food with a recipe to our tastes. I mean, if I go out and knock on some random house and ask them what are they gonna eat, I bet they're having soup, chicken/meal/fish, steaks, rice (we eat a lot of rice too!), eggs (usually for breakfast), beans (that's why we're known as beaners in an offensive way) and tortillas. We eat a lot of tortillas!!!
well i think that restaurant is kind of like a taco bell, it's not real mexican food n.n you want mexican food come to mexico and i'll visit you :$ :D ok no. well we usually eat frijoles with cheese and burritos are way different of what you are eating you should try my granny food it's very good , well if you find a really good mexican food in seoul let me know so when i go to seoul i can eat my food ^^
well thats not really mexican food, the burritos are more like a mix of mexican food with american. in mexico there are ones named burritas and those are like quesadillas but with jam. you can also find in mexico different regional food, but the most known ones are mole, toamales, tacos , tortas, esquites, chicharrones(:
tortillas and fajitas tacos alot of hot Chili Pepper and stuff like that...lol i live by the border of mexico so we get more into the mexican style so traditional mexican foods like tamales, Chile en Nogada , Mole, barbacoa, Tripas, caldo de res and menudo and there is more but its alot ^_^
that is .... somehow similar to mexican food ... but no ... that is not what we usually eat. On the other hand I do not think Korean restaurants serve the real deal ... so ... we are somehow even ....
lol no real mexicans eat tortillas with beans and eggs and sometimes rice and some chorizo dont know if i spelled that right. With green or red salsa and tapatio
Honey, that's not even close to real Mexican food. That's very americanized mexican food to be honest. I don't think that any mexican food has cheddar cheese like that. Some nopale, horchata, gorditas, posole, menudo, would be examples of mexican food. It's still very good to know that you're interested in Mexican food. I honestly didn't know that there would be Mexican restaurants everywhere in the world. Best luck finding something truly Mexican. I would love to give you recipes and stuff
Mexicans eat burritos but very rarely they eat nachos. The nachos is more of a mexican-american food. What mostly mexicans eat is tamales, enchiladas, tacos, menudo, gorditas, chile relleno, atole, caldo de res, arroz con leche, and many more.
Like the fact that there's someone who cherishes the food that mexicans eat.
Bro, don't eat that shit, that's not mexican food, we don't even know what that is... is you want to eat something really mexican you should try this: Mole poblano con unas enchiladas en salsa verde y roja y unos frijoles negros y sopa de arroz
that is not traditional mexican food , we eat mole i reali like eat mole =) anda chiles poblanos =D and quezadillas of flor de calabaza mmmmmmmm yomiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well thats not the traditional mexican food its mexican-american.the nachos in mexico are more like an appeticer rather than your actual food or plate.but its still nice to see in KOREA MEXICAN based food
Sorry, but that is not real mexican food, that food is more USA taste, for us that is more like a snack for your guests in a party, or something that you eat when you go to Disneyland, jaja. I like you video and it is nice know that some one in Korea find a mexican restaurant there and make this video, ERES UN AMOR!!!.
well nachos is a treat more than a meal in mexico really, besides, we don't eat burritos as much, tacos are much common of a street food, and for a traditional meals, there are tons of others that i rarely see served at mexican restaurant on foreign countries.
this meal looks mexican inspired, but it's not really 'mexican' very much at all. it's interesting though. first of all, i've never seen an egg and bacon burrito from a mexican place. usually it has carne asada, chicken, tongue, or some other type of shredded meat. a wheat tortilla that is usually wrapped around a shredded meats, rice, pinto/black beans, sour cream, avocado/guacamole, salsa... or something like that. the nachos don't really look like nachos, but i can't put my finger on y
that kinda looks like like the american style mexican food...what you need is to find a mexican person in korea and have them cook if they can ..... i dont think that looks like real mexican food...:(......if i went to seoul i would totally cook up some enchiladas!
HolaHola! I'm mexican...and those kind of food isn't be mexican...mexican food is like pozole, enchiladas de mole, cochinita pibil, barbacoa, tlacoyos, gorditas, chicharron, tacos with a real tortilla, tostadas, carnitas... and the nachos and burritos here are more like junk food... and i am so happy that in a country like corea has a restaurant of mexican food... the real food is in mexico, come here and eat what you want xD ^^ Really is so delicious!
actually its more like pozole , tacos de barbacoa o trompo o de carne , tacos con nopales, enchilada suizas , lo mas paresido the very closest that you show us about nacho cheese are the chilaquiles. Enchiladas ahy MUCHAS ( many different type of enchiladas like MOLE , SUIZAS , POBLANAS ,) that on the video its more American -Mexican food
@ever4one It is considered Mexican-inspired because of the corn chips, flour tortillas, cheese, sour cream, salsa etc. and it isn't bad. However, Mexican cuisine is very diverse and has influences from allover the world. Breakfast in a typical Mexican home might include: Chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, potatoes and eggs with hatch chiles, huevos con chorizo, etc. this is just the tip of the iceberg. There's high Mexican cuisine as well. Burritos are a rare find in Mexico, believe it or not.
ummm my wife was born in Daejeon and she'll tell you thats not mexican food, if you need some help just hired us, well make your business go thru the roof ill tell ya
The story goes that in the city of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, arrived at a small restaurant several wives of U.S. military after the restaurant closed, then the waiter, Ignacio Anaya, artfully prepared them a meal with what little they had available: chips and cheese
IGNACIO QUE TAMBIEN CONOCIDO COMO------- NACHO de ahyi la palabra NACHOS
hahah amm I'm from México and i've never seen that egg thing before xD and we don't eat nachos all day long xD :O maybe you should ask for "tamales" or "tacos" (the real ones; not the american ones XD) "huaraches" "pozole" or something like that, that's more typical xD but I guess that they have sort of the idea xD
@neniiaaraLane lol Im from New Mexico in the states... I was thinking the same thing.. I have never seen the egg thing... Mmm Tamales and Pozole <3 mmmm im hungry now...
@marysm0704 haha yeah me too XD the food it's something really good in here, sometimes it kind of look weird but tastes good xD I was watching and thinking "uhhh, i didn't see one of those before, but it kind of reminded me about a dish that is an enormous potato, with cheese and meat or something like that and it's baked :O it is quite delicious (:
There is actually much better Mexican food in Korea, but you have to travel for it. The best I've had in Seoul is in Jukjeon (Bundang), at a restaurant called Las Margaritas. So~ good. Fresh made salsa and guacamole. 짱 맛있어요~~! ^^
this is not real mexican food this is more like meximerican food lol if u want real mexican food eat pozole, tamales, zopes, enchiladas, tacos, tortas, carne asada, carnitas, chiles reyenos, albondigas, pico de gallo, and the list goes on and on dammn i need to open a real mexican restaurant in korea
Actually...it's not. The bacon and cheddar cheese are things the Americans like better. The nachos and such have SOME Mexican influence, with the corn tortilla and all, but it's not exactly Mexican.
Like others said, tacos, pozole, carnitas. Those are more mexican. At least, it's more Mexican to eat a bowl of pozole than having a chili, cheddar, lettuce and sour cream giant burrito.
omgggggggg! :D I love koreans haha, hey i'm from Mexico :3 and well yeah that's what us mexicans eat, but mostly tacos haha and enchiladas:P I think haha
Come to mexico to try the real Mexican food :)) my Korean friends, they love a dish called "pozole" ... you tried it? if you not try even ..You Shoudl try it , I'm sure would liked to eat....
man im going to Korea ima open a Mexican restaurant ima have Frijoles Charro's , tacos al pastor, pozole, menudo, carnitas you know all that good home cooked Mexican food ....lol i hope the Koreans will accept meh :]
Hyunwoo the only way to eat good mexican food is comming to Mexico. Usually we don´t eat nachos is just a snack, if you wanna eat mexican, buy "tacos al pastor"... 맛있는!!!
First of all the Nachos would pass. Burritos are not Mexican at all actually. Its american. Just how taco bell ain't Mexican either. But nice to see that Mexican food is thought of in Korea.
not nachos but burritos are quite common although I usually eat it with carne asada, beans, rice etc. instead of how you had them but I'm sure they're tasty either way. This is quite an old video but I thought I'd comment anyway
Well I'm Mexican and we do eat Burritos but Nachos are more like a snack to us :) and Tacos are the most common Mexican food known world wide just as Kimchi is known as Korean food ^-^
That's interesting, who knew there would be a mexican restaurant in Korea. I actually own a Mexican restaurant in Long Beach California, maybe I should open one in Korea! Check out my website at
Me being mexican-american would count those foods as mexican but burritos and other foods go way deeper! We have many varieties of burritos with different ingredients aswell as meats and salsas. Also even our drinks are different varieties of aguas frescas (fresh water drinks)!
Lastly each state of mexico has a special dish just for themselves which is a sacred thing to all mexicans. Tacos, nachos, and burritos dont just simply define Mexican culture!!
@rosaquatica right nachos don't cut it...I don't even think that was a Mexican food really...maybe chilaquiles qhich are crispy tortilla chips bathed in salsa...lol...and burritos, well the burritos I know are from L.A. and not from Mexico...Ive never had one there...lol...but yes the aguas frescas are bomb...just yesterday I had an agua de fresa, (which is strawberry water for all of my Korean friends), and OMG so good...even if I posted a video you wouldn't understand how amazing it was...lol
and yeah that would be maybe americanized mexican food in Korea!
Its till okay but I know that their is more to us Mexicanos!! and yes Mexican food is indescribable ,it something no one could understand by just seeing other eat in a video!

Nachos and Burritos are popular due to American people, but just to be clear, that's not food to us Mexicans.
vaughaning 2 months ago
That is Mexican food... in no way! :D

GemayDubheOfficial 3 months ago
well thats not really mexican food, the burritos are more like a mix of mexican food with american. in mexico there are ones named burritas and those are like quesadillas but with jam. you can also find in mexico different regional food, but the most known ones are mole, toamales, tacos , tortas, esquites, chicharrones(:

We don't eat that kind of food too often, if we eat the "nachos" it's like the fried tortilla but with sauce, we call it "totopos"
And for burritos, they're common just for breakfast, and they don't have that much amount of food

And that's why us Mexicans get along with Asians so much. Very nice people.
teeKAYelle 3 months ago

I like you video and it is nice know that some one in Korea find a mexican restaurant there and make this video, ERES UN AMOR!!!.
detuparte83 4 months ago
well nachos is a treat more than a meal in mexico really, besides, we don't eat burritos as much, tacos are much common of a street food, and for a traditional meals, there are tons of others that i rarely see served at mexican restaurant on foreign countries.
HASHlRAMA 4 months ago
this meal looks mexican inspired, but it's not really 'mexican' very much at all. it's interesting though. first of all, i've never seen an egg and bacon burrito from a mexican place. usually it has carne asada, chicken, tongue, or some other type of shredded meat. a wheat tortilla that is usually wrapped around a shredded meats, rice, pinto/black beans, sour cream, avocado/guacamole, salsa... or something like that. the nachos don't really look like nachos, but i can't put my finger on y

Hello! I am Mexican and that is Mexican food, but the "fast food" version :)
While we eat them, burritos arent originally Mexican but they were made in America by Mexican-Americans same with nachos~
But they look accurate, but our burritos are waaaaay bigger :DD
and the meat we use is not bacon but "carne asada" mostly :)

Echizenina 5 months ago
actually its more like pozole , tacos de barbacoa o trompo o de carne , tacos con nopales, enchilada suizas , lo mas paresido the very closest that you show us about nacho cheese are the chilaquiles. Enchiladas ahy MUCHAS ( many different type of enchiladas like MOLE , SUIZAS , POBLANAS ,) that on the video its more American -Mexican food
MUSICfreak5005 5 months ago
@ever4one It is considered Mexican-inspired because of the corn chips, flour tortillas, cheese, sour cream, salsa etc. and it isn't bad. However, Mexican cuisine is very diverse and has influences from allover the world. Breakfast in a typical Mexican home might include: Chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, potatoes and eggs with hatch chiles, huevos con chorizo, etc. this is just the tip of the iceberg. There's high Mexican cuisine as well. Burritos are a rare find in Mexico, believe it or not.

wow me gusta la comida Mexicana, los nopales!!! Tlacoyos!!! (Los nachos Ragprrff)
John06601 7 months ago

roockie112 7 months ago
Actually...it's not. The bacon and cheddar cheese are things the Americans like better. The nachos and such have SOME Mexican influence, with the corn tortilla and all, but it's not exactly Mexican.
Like others said, tacos, pozole, carnitas. Those are more mexican. At least, it's more Mexican to eat a bowl of pozole than having a chili, cheddar, lettuce and sour cream giant burrito.

Tacos, nachos, and burritos dont just simply define Mexican culture!!
rosaquatica 10 months ago
@rosaquatica right nachos don't cut it...I don't even think that was a Mexican food really...maybe chilaquiles qhich are crispy tortilla chips bathed in salsa...lol...and burritos, well the burritos I know are from L.A. and not from Mexico...Ive never had one there...lol...but yes the aguas frescas are bomb...just yesterday I had an agua de fresa, (which is strawberry water for all of my Korean friends), and OMG so good...even if I posted a video you wouldn't understand how amazing it was...lol
