This was an aweful rendition. An insult to a great classic. Barbra's version was real cool. If Celine wants to cover an original song. She should at least do it right. @PurpleNightButterfly I never said that Latoya London was a beter singer than Celine Dion. I think celine is the best singer ever, but when i compare the two versions latoyas arrangement is much better and makes her voice sound great. I'm sure celine can sing the hell out of a phone book, thats why she is the best.

This song is awesome, but Latoya Londons version of it is the by far the best. I am a fan of music an I know a great voice. No one sings this song better than her.

Forget it Celine. It's always a bad idea to try and top Streisand.
And she sounds just like a contestant on Canadian Idol: way too much of that phoney pop phrasing and showing off. Streisand's the gold standard for female singers and Celine's not in her class...

This was an aweful rendition. An insult to a great classic. Barbra's version was real cool. If Celine wants to cover an original song. She should at least do it right. She butchered Memory (Elaine Paige from the Cats) Somewhere (from West Side Story). What's next? Could anyone stop her from running amok.

I second murphy before me, too much vocal gymnastics makes this a rubbish version. This song is really beatifull if sung pure and worm and with a heartfelt forcefull ending.

keep in mind this was in 1988 and Celine was only know in the canadian province of Quebec back then...to think she is now the best selling female artist in history and without a question the biggest international female singer in the world.

Listen to Barbra Streisand videos from the mid-60's. You haven't watched from when she was Celine's age. She immediately got a television show and multiple movies, Funny Girl, Hello! Dolly, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and others. Celine Dion is certainly in the argument with her international success. But just as Madonna opened doors for Brittany and others Judy Garland and Barbra opened doors for Celine. But you must agree that Lady Gaga is not in this conversation.

@82celinedion82 whoa whoa whoa... I love Celine Dion, but I wouldn't say she's better than Barbra. Barbra is a big legend, a big voice! She was/is Celine's idol. They're both incredible. Celine is a baby diva even yet next to Streisand. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Barbra is better because it's no true. She is just a huge legend and like I said Celine's idol and she's much older than Celine and it's impossible to say who is better. Anyway, I think they both will be remembered forever
