This programme started way back and it was the first season actually. Every season and programme the standards get slightly higher, but I actually think that the Girls Aloud can sing. It's hard to do better than them, trust me, even when their voices are quite common.

Now that Cheryl has her solo project and Nadine has just signed hers, I think it unfortunately means an end to GAD as that is how it usually works. The chemistry gets lost. :-(

They probably wouldn't make it to the live finals but that's probably due to the fact that contestants nowdays are very well trained/prepared. In 2002 contestants started as true amateurs.

Maybe on their own, but being in a band is about mixing melodys, so they cant all be strong singers. Look at pussycat dolls, 5 weak singers, one fabulous singer. U never hear the others sing, only nicole. A band is about harmonizing, and the end result for girls aloud, is good i'd say.
