  • are those banana chips in the bowl? 5:35... crap,... now im hungry!

  • I just bought a Tamiya Hilux and was wondering if you had a list of parts that you used with this Tundra and/or what you would suggest for my Hilux. Thanks!

  • it feels good to watch the films again :-) I remember feeling before the bought the tundra. it's a good feeling to have when it is tough in life. :-) it's a year since I built the tundra now.

  • Do you have the stock gears in your trans. Do you know of a metal gears set?

  • hello, I want to buy a tamiya tundra can you tell me what price and how I can afford to buy, I'm from Ecuador ........

  • i was wondering do you what plug for the battery do i need for my tundra

  • is it hard to change the leaf spring to shocks

  • Good work. That's one NICE RC... wish they came with all the extra you put on it, I would buy it in a heart beat.

Been looking at RC's like this one, but I think I'm going for a 1/8 Crawler (if I ever find one that suites my specs).

  • medic is your voltage regulator a 5 amp, 6.5V Lithium Polymer

    please reply thank

  • medic can you still crawl if it is all stock parts

  • I'm curious as to how you have the rds8000 setup for the 3 speed and winch? Like what channels control what. Thanks

  • hello can you tell me the part number of your main lipo batteries? btw, absolutely excellent work you have done. please let me know, thanks.

  • Hi,

I got compltely inspired by this video an bought a Tundra, FXR-pro etc. Everything is on it way to Holland now. Can you please explain how you made your electrical connections considdering the lighting, external BEC and the two Lipo's? Goodluck!

  • If you ever sell it let me know first lol I will most definitely buy it haha seriously though

  • i'm coming close to finishing my tundra build. i've also purchased the mfc-02 but it seems like i don't have led's for the four fog lights up front. what light kit did you use? i want to add led's to the fog lights.

  • hi,

can you explain what you did to the lighting wire? (i'm assuming that is lighting wire.) it looks like heat shrink tubing? and then also plastic protective coil? where can you get those products? i checked radio shack for the protective coil for another project, but they didn't have any. i'm putting together a tamiya tundra now. which by the way, you influenced me into getting after i saw your vids on your tamiya tundra project.

  • @mentalmetal1 Hello, and congrats! Sounds like your having lots of fun! Yes... the wrap is actually from an Auto-Store. Its electrical sheathing for electrical wiring. Hope that helps :)

  • @djmedic2008 thanks for the quick response. besides the electrical sheathing, did you use heat shrink tubing on the wiring? and is that a tamiya light kit or some other custom light kit? i got the mfc-02 for my tundra and i would like to protect and organize the wiring like you did.

  • @mentalmetal1 wow.. you spent some money! lol.. Lots of it! The tubing I used (the sheath) is called "Split loom 3/8th inch). I did not use shrink wrap other than on the exposed soldering. This is the Tundra Kit, but as you can see.. I highly modified it. The mfc2 will be a fun upgrade.. but make sure not to get any water anywhere near it. Its certainly not waterproof and can short out easily. Good luck bro!

  • Hi, my name is colby and i am trying to buy either a

Axial SCX10 1/10 4WD Trail Crawler RC Truck Kit, or a tamiya cr-01, i have been trying to figure out if they come with remotes and battery and the charger, i cant seem to find out i am on ehobbies.com, did yours come with that stuff and what website did you use, and which one is better out of the two im not going all out just something to do on days after school and i want to climb some big stuff yeah but not all out

  • awesome!! you tundra really awesome and Are Stock Tundra is waterproof ? i mean like in 7:42 is wihouth cable protector this water proof?

  • what is the total build cost?

  • Is your radio in mode 1 or mode 2, wich is best ?

  • OK, I looked everywhere for the wheel arch extentions.....where did you find them exactly? Brills set of vids by the way.

  • how much are the shockers?

  • how much have you spent on this truck in total?

what does the hand wound bit do?

  • Hey djmedic, what paints and premier did you use on the fender and truck? I saw your truck rollover cuple of times on your other videos. Does the paint doesn't scratch easily?

You did a fantastic job on your truck. Thanks for making the videos.

  • My questions:

1 "I'm from Venezuela where I can buy one?

    2-Which brings accessories?

3-Where to get accessories or spare parts?

Graicas, I hope your answer, good video ..

    Greetings friend!

  • hahaha i like how ur charging ur batts while shooting the vid

  • Just wondering if your ESC was sealed in that box also? If so how do you keep it cool while running hard. Thanks, Mike D

  • @mdivinc Hi Mike, you bet the esc was sealed in the container. To be truthful I never had an issue with heat. there was enough space in the container to keep it just fine. i checked quite often because it was my concern also, but never had an issue with it.. thanks for commenting!

  • @djmedic2008 how did you seal the box off. and still be able to get into it.

  • @mdivinc Thankyou, Great ,Neat and Clean job.

  • hi there, i saw the whole build of this truck, and i was wondering if the stock suspention was flexable at all, for crawling of course, and also i was wondering if u can give me some tips, im not that interested in comps, i just want it so i can just fool around with it in the backyard or something

  • @TheFabDawg the stock suspension is just fine for you to crawl around the back yard. This build was meant to be over the top ;)

  • aww man i finished my popcorn at 02:54 :( LOL

  • what BEC did u use for that truck?

  • hello!!

    first great job .... Congratulations!

then I wondered if it was possible to know the name and macros of batteries??

    thank you ....

    Hello ...

  • it didin;t work? there's no box on the bed of the truck.

  • It did work.. Folks just didnt like the box in the bed.. so since its a movie prop.. I changed the waterproofing technique. I do have waterproofing vids available in my list of vids

  • did you'r water proofing work.

  • may I suggest you watch "scale RC trucks #8" and let me know what you think.. :)

  • how many servos do i need

  • @trx250vrsltz250 2 servos - Transmission (a strong one) and the steering....

  • Very nice looking, Can you tell me where to get the setup stands? (that 4 standard to support the car)

  • u did a nice job on the tundra!

  • nice truck.

My friend did that with his electronics then soon moved them under the cab section because it kept wheeling and slipping over back ward. couldn't climb very well keep tipping over.

  • is this hard to put together

  • That depends on what kind of builder you are my friend... if you have experience in building kits.. you may find this to be a wonderful project... if not.. well.. it may frustrate you

  • Awesome truck.....i'm slowly putting together the Tamiya Ford 350 highlift..with a hole lot of hop-ups from rc4wd..the cab of the truck will have a detailed interior....just need to save up up for the multi function unit..which costs as much as the model.

  • Thats awesome man! congrats.. what a nice kit that would be! I have also looked at the ford.. its brilliant. It shocked me in the sheer size of the model when its put together. Its actually quite large. THat MFU sure is over priced, but a cool addition. i take it you dont want to run the truck in any mud? Should be a nice show truck by the time your done! I look forward to seeing it ! Good luck!

  • how much do you think it would cost with all stock parts. because im only 13 and my parents do not pay for my rc cars i have to. right now i have a 4x6 stampede and i was thinking of selling that and some other stuff but i dont know if i will have enough. nice video to!

  • here in the UK these models cost almost £400, and thats for the kit, radio transmitter,esc,servos..etc are extra.

  • Wow.. this one.. the way I built it was $2000 CDN!

  • i don't want to know how much i've spent but it's only money and you can't take it with you lol...still need radio gear, multi function unit..and i'm have the body shell painted have to safe my pocket money..lol,..once built its gonna be a shelf queen..i'd be to scared to run it outside..but i will post a video....watch this space.

  • Wau...Awesome truck you have...I`m making Scale offroad truck from my Tamiya mountaineer too

  • if you built a truck like the one in this video for a customer how much would it cost? including all ball bearings for transmision \ axles.

  • My friend.. i dont actually work for a hobby shop.. I own a small film company.. and I like to build R/C's for people to see! Im always happy to show folks some things that make them smile :~)

A rough estimate of this truck is about $2000 CDN... bu that is totally hopped up like in the video, with all the fixin's

  • at 04:06 i love how you covered the wires with the plastic tubing, ill do that on my rc crawlers, thanks for the idea :D

  • hey i need help i never built a rc kit before do u think that i could build on or should i get a a easyer rc scale truck?

    thanks

  • this model isn't aimed at beginners..i'd go for an easier truck, and tamiya do some great ones..like the lunch box, wild willy,or blackfoot extreme.

  • your absolutely right my friend.. Tamiya has a million! lol.. the axial SCX10 is also very modfiable and a great ride!

  • can you give me some ideas of the easiest, im young and dont have experience with that kinda stuff... please?

  • how much do these cars cost

  • how much you got? Lol.. the more you have the more you can spend.. Budget about 2000 for this one..

  • I have Skyline :D by Tamiya :D:D

    Nice video

  • Nice video series mate, I love the look of your build up. And that is such clean wiring, where might I find some of that black tube you're using to cover your wires and such?

  • Nevermind, I found the wire tubes. Nice video though!
