  • Aye what song is that playing at 5:25 anyone know?

  • What song is played first in this vid? (starting from animated map Africa-Cuba)

  • @jonnyradars

At the beginning is Tito Puentes 'Hong Kong Mambo' from the 1950's.

At 7:41 is Bomba dancers in Puerto Rico, not Cuban music, please specify. Thanks.

  • Thank you mexitax for your comment. i didnt really mention puertoricans as much as i should but as Angel Canales says. OYE PUERTORRO DEL ALMA AY NUNCA DEJARE DE AMARTE.

  • @ Rosalyn I have to agree with DjMonntunno you don't know your facts, Celia Cruz didn't start singing with Willie Colon But La Sonora Matancera in Cuba and then with Fania Johnny Pacheco and then Willie Colon.

  • I see maracas and guiro which are amerindian instruments.

  • Hey roselyn

Gracias por tu comment, if you see the three parts of the video you maybe remove your comment , i did this documentary for the salseros who respect the different opinions on salsa history. Always is going to be some one like you out there thinking that is complete right and you are not. I am a good friend of izzy zanabria and he give a really good feed back to this video he lived this development so i dont think you know more than him son.

  • Should have been called from Africa to Cuba... Puerto Rico is accidentally mentioned... Please go to the facts, lots of music started in with Africa influences but the final product takes the name..like rock and roll. Salsa is Puerto Rico's final product. Celia Cruz started singing under Willie Colon...How come she takes more mentioned that Willie on a Salsa docu...Not even close to the truth.

  • Great information. Thank you.

I would have used much less reverb on the narrators voice, though.
