  • Female Phil Elvrum.:D

  • I'm sure this video doesn't do justice to the song or the singer. The guitar is so loud it's virtually impossible to hear the lyrics she's singing.

  • I'd like to comment about her guitar playing skills. I saw her at Modified in Phx up close and way too personal and she is an AMAZING guitarist. She has mad finger picking skills and her vocal talent matches what is on the album. Not to discard the rest of the band. They all sounded so organic and just like on the record. This video quality does NOT give them the justice they deserve

  • she's so amazing. all her songs give me chills.

  • I wonder, is she married?

  • Her voice brings me to tears.

  • for the record- the guitar's sound is like that deliberately..

  • mrbiscuit...how do you know this, did she tell you? I think that's just how she plays...I haven't seen any other vids where she plays well?

  • It not so much about sounding 'professional', as to have another guitar player with her would take away how personal and intrusive it is to just witness her, and the beautiful sound that only she and her guitar make. I think she plays the guitar wonderfully.

  • don't be so judgmental. part of the reason i like her music is the stripped down feel to it. it would lose all its feeling if it was backed by a band and had perfect hi-fi sound.

  • I'm not being judgemental at all. It's just not good musicianship, plain and simple. Her guitar playing is just bad, and it sounds bad. You may be the one who needs to be honest in your assessment. To imply that this is good musicianship is either a "statement of supprot for this artist" no matter what she does, or else it shows a lack of knowledge on the subject of good musicianship. Either way, this was bad. And I loved The Garden...but this is not in the same ballpark.

  • i see where you are coming from, and judgmental wasn't the right word to use. but in my personal opinion i really like the sound quality with the way she was playing. maybe from a technical stand point it was sloppy but i think it made perfect sense to my ears.

its also a bit unfair to compare a song of hers that is based purely on percussion to one that primarily uses the guitar. but whatever i can agree to disagree

  • Yah, it's all cool ska. We all like different things...that's what makes music so great; there's something for us all. I guess I just dug "The Garden" so much, I was looking for more of the same and found myself a bit disappointed. No offense to those who dig this. Peace!

  • @Sweeper5 Different strokes for different folks, that's what makes the world go round.

  • I agree. I like the rough sound she's got; it makes it sound stark and raw, and fits her voice really well. It certainly doesn't bother me that she's no guitar virtuoso

  • Mirah is 33 and before you know it girlboy18 that won't seem so old.

  • how old is she?

  • ah...i love this song..and her..she's amazing!

  • she is old but hot

  • when was this recorded? i have a mirah cover in my videos but of course it doesn't hold a candle to her...!

  • ...and this is the Mirah version of The Moon.

  • Mirah is the female Phil.

  • esta mina canta como una gallina jejeje

  • esta mina canta como una gallina jejeje

  • really great musician

  • xo, love the music. It's been played at very poignant times in my life. So many memories.

  • wow, i love mirah. but that drummer is apparently playing a different song.

  • What's wrong with the drumming? Sounds great to me. Little known fact: live shows don't have to follow the recorded versions of songs verbatim.

  • yeah. theres millions of songs that are redone for live performances. every artist does that at least sometimes. they make new arrangements.

  • Her voice is so beautiful... I saw her in Boston at the middle east and it sucked though, she was playing really quietly and all the drunks were louder than the music was, people kept talking over the music

  • this is amazing

  • LUCKY!

  • thank you for posting this.

    i love mirah.

  • I remember this :] x
