Millions of people outhere in Asia/Africa have almost nothing to eat, and if they are really care, they should do something about it. Some 40 million people were murdered under Mao during the years of "peace" whisch followed his conquests. 50 million in total died in WWII. What ever happened to compassion for people rather than desire for stuff and a spot on the bandwagon? And even worse, many western young adults and teens have no idea it is a communist country.

I spent about a month and a half in China in '95. The South was great, Beijing was a big disappointment. I met a lot of nice people in Chengdu/ kunming/ dalat/ . As for Japan, it seems that the Chinese gov. if not fanning the flames does little to promote peace. This has been RECENT. There wasn't any of this animosity to Jap.people in '95. A Japanese acquaintance is married and living in China. She is so scared that she keeps being Jap. a secret. check the video China fragile superpower.

The author says, when the Chinese premier goes to the West with money to buy things, Western governments suppress Pro-Tibetan protesters. Whereas now they are using the protestors to diminish China. If so, tt is because the Chinese demand that as a condition for doing business. The Chinese are attempting to foist their tyranny on others through such blackmail. The problem is not Western hostility to Chinese success; it is Western failure to stand up to China's belligerance.

I do not need a self-righteous teaching on Panca Sila, 6 or 10 Paramitas, 37 Bodhisattva Precepts, 16 types of Emptiness of Madhyamika, abhidharma, and all sorts of hinayana, mahayana and tantric sutras. I never understood anything about Buddhism even though I have studied it for more than 30 years.

its basically like this, yes there are social injustices, but tibet is so much better off as part of china then it ever will be apart. Tibet enjoys advancements because its part of china and no matter what you say about rights and justice and all that crap, it doesnt mean shit when living standards are subhuman, and international stastics proves tibetans are enjoying a higher quality of life and avg income per household.

If China has the capability and chance to rule the world, I believe its better than US. My point is the government knows how to rule, when to use millitary force. I think China is too kind to those people who against them.
I am proud of my Chinese nationality. And let's see what happen in the following 20 years. We prefer STUDYING and WORKING not just SAYING so that there are many development we have made.

Thank you UTEEngineer. It's a real eye opener. When I passed through a free tibet demo days ago, I felt sorry for them. Did they know what they were doing? or following a hyppy fad? Millions of people outhere in Asia/Africa have almost nothing to eat, and if they are really care, they should do something about it. If they really care, they should try to help third world countries to rise their living standards. Or probably they are just happy hyppies.

i didnot know the price of the ticket for the train, but i knew you were wrong about it. why??? the whole purpose of building this connection between china and tibet by railroad is to promote the ever growing large population to go towards tibet. its a slow poison but its very effective. and the only reason i see china sends those free checks to tibetans is to get them not to speak against china. basically china is trying to buy the tibetans with the checks.
