It should be funny when I'm humming this at school and someone asks me what it is, or what my favorite song and I say Suicide Blonde. I would probably get a worried look since I'm blonde...
i love all the song titles from jack's mannequin... they are a very good band... i can always tell if its them b/c they sound so much different than other bands
i think that all the songs on the Glass passenger especially suicide blonde and dark blue are SOO AWESOME! i love it all! it is what i listen to every day!! i can't tell you how much i love it! I ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ it
I really loved the peace that everything in transit gave me and it is a perfect album to listen to in the summer when i want something th settle my mind. I will admith that Andrew did stuff a bit differently for this album, but the content is great and i love it. Maybe the change was for the best I mean we all might be the same on the inside, but the changes make us better people right?
how can you really think that they have changed they are the same as they were befor. Still wesome though i can see that this song is kinda different.

For as much as I adore Andrew McMahon I actually can't listen to the Glass Passenger. I miss the energy of Everything in Transit; I always though his earlier lyrics were much more meaningful, more relevant. To me it sounds like he's trying too hard to cash in on the indie/folk bandwagon. Everything on the Glass Passenger sounds contrived, like he's trying too hard to play up the 'wholesome living' message. If I wanted something that sounded like Dashboard or Bright Eyes, I'd go buy their CD's.
I adore this song but I hate that the lyrics changed from "and we're alive so let's drive, she says we'll bankrupt the blue skies" to "Livin' well but we're dying young to bankrupt the blue sky". It just doesn't as good =(
what do you mean the lyrics changed? i heard him play this song in concert last year but all i remember is the "suicide blonde" part cause he was a little pitchy haha
If you listen to the older live versions (and there's even an old studio recording), the lyrics at the beginning go "we're alive so let's drive, she says we'll bankrupt the blue skies", & on the album version it's different.
