  • Is it not necessary to suck some brake fluid out of the reservoir before you squeeze the pistons back into the calipers?

Thanks for making videos like this one. They're very helpful.

  • @calarooni As long as it's at the proper level and not over filled, you should be fine.

  • Thank you all SO much for this video. That was AWESOME!! I know NOTHING about cars, and was able to do this with the help of this video! Thank you!!

  • i cant see what ur doing at 5:25!!! ahhhhhhh!!!

  • i only have a 10 mm allen wrench. can i force in on with a hammer? 3/8 in is equal to 9.5 mm

  • what is the tool called that is suppose to be used instead of the allen wrench?

  • @meria05 You may be referring to a torx bit.

  • @1aauto thanks do you have any advice to loosening up the bolts on the caliper? My dad had tried so much and it didnt budge not one bit

  • @1aauto

What torx bits and hex bits are most common on vehicles now days ??

  • @brandon1997bmx It depends on the vehicle. It seems as though the hex ones are pretty popular, but I've also seen many star tipped ones used to hold various things together too.

  • also, do you need to bleed the brakes using this method?

  • @weepulization only time you bleed brakes is when you replace a brake line, a hose, or a caliper. or any part of brake system in which fluid escaped the system, on this type of job only thing you need to remember is when job is done pump up the pedal

  • EN EL MIN. 3:41 COMO SE PUEDE AGRANDAR EL SOPORTE QUE ESTA DETRAS DEL DISCO PARA INTALAR UN DISCO MAS GRANDE AL ORIGINAL? DE UN 240MM A 320MM? GRACIAS.

  • @Cyrux360 No estoy seguro de lo que sería necesario modificar el freno del rotor de valores a una más grande.

  • this video is very helpful, instructions and video is very clear, im doing this procedure tomorrow for a friend. thanks alot

  • I WISH YOU WERE MY UNCLE!!!! lol

  • good vid thanks

  • how to replace brakes pads on a tahoe 2002and what do you need do you have a video..

  • @digitalmixer The procedure is the same as this video. You'll need a jack and jackstands. You can use your jack with the vehicle to jack it up but then make sure it is supported by a jack stand as well. Then your lug wrench that comes with the truck to remove the lug nuts. The calipers are probably bolted on with a 3/8 inch allen wrench although I don't know for sure. They may be bolted on with bolts that are anywhere from 13-19 mm. So you may need a socket and ratchet.

  • Nice video. Loved the part where you forwarded the obvious stuff... shouldn't you be taking the cap of brake oil reservoir off, when pushing the piston back with C-clamp?

    Thanks

  • @mamatalu Taking the cap off is not totally necessary. Air can escape the reservoir just from pressure. I believe I do suggest removing some brake fluid if it is topped off.
