@XMMxmmXM I suppose it would stay pressurized, but if the pressurization were to fail, the extreme lack of pressure outside would cause the body (which is acclimated to having standard temp and pressure) to expand and eventually explode. Now THAT would be a graphical sight to behold!

His suit appears to decompress him, which would mean a total idiot would have to have designed it. This would not be suffocation but a decompression death. It would make more sense for him to collapse with oxygen starvation as I don't think any sane designer would build an environmental suit that decompresses you as soon as oxygen runs out.

When in space, and you're not protected: you will fall unconscious and you can survive up to 10seconds of exposure.

If 15 seconds pass, you will never come back. It's not painful, it's like fainting. You can't even know what happened.

Pain is brought by Nerves, which informs the brain something is wrong and in turn, it will tell you.

Death is a process, but most of the process you are always unconscious. So even though your brain still functions, you are always not there.

Its his suit releasing all the carbon dioxide gas he emitted. Carbon dioxide is more visible than oxygen and plus, he does that too when he enters an air filled room.
