I really do not like Brian Tyler. His scores are pale imitations of Hans Zimmer's or John Powell's. This score is no exception. Although it is enjoyable, it takes a lot of ideas from the score of Mission Impossible II, or the Bourne films. And like the movie, it tries to be a lot like those films. Although the music, and film are enjoyable, they are unoriginal.
@TORCHWOOD006 I agree with you. Although he is talented he doesn't have a style of his own. He keeps scoring lousy movies with too heavy music. However, this track is good, the one I prefer the most out of all his compositions.
@Winduct That is a great way of putting it. While it is ok to draw some inspirations from other scores, hell John Powell got the Bourne theme from Hans Zimmer, or have a very similar style like Michael Giacchino has similar scores to John Williams. But Brian Tyler's score are all the same. He tries to put several different techniques and styles together thinking he's come across genius. His scores just aren't for Hollywood. However, his score is the only thing I like about this movie.
This song is amazing, if the entire movie had music of this caliber, it would be an 11/10, but unfortunately it only gets a 10/10. Awesome track! thanks for the upload!
@LukeCroat1 it is definetly up there, although Letty from Fast and Furious is also really good, and cant forget Neela Drifting, from Tokyo Drift. Love those 3 tracks. If you love these, check out tracks for The Eagle, (I will return, and few other tracks) Battle LA, Eagle Eye, Bangkok Dangerous, and Children of Dune.
