  • @swedishmandy bequiet

  • hey how did you make the multicolour ones same way????

  • @96missymoo yes, just put a different coloured sheet together with the first so it's sort of two ply and carry on the same way.

  • I was looking for a how-to for making pom poms for my 4-year-old granddaughter. I loved your demonstration. Thank you! Made me smile. :-)

  • @kayellwy thanks! happy it helped.

  • Elise, About how many sheets of tissue paper do you use? Do you know about what size tissue paper you used...in inches? thank you. They look perfect for what I am wanting to do.

    Thanks, Patti

  • @airbornkid245 depends how big you want them. About five inches is good. Experiment to see. I had the big rolls, cut them in half and used most of a half a roll! You can use less or more (several colours at once is effective.)

  • thank u sooo much and this method is so easy....i used to spent hours on making them...once again thanx...:)

  • @11digitalis Glad to be able to help!

  • IF U START WITH RUBBES DOES NOT MEAN YOU END WITH RUBBES!!

YOU CAN START WITH LIKE GARBEG AND END WITH BUTFUIL THINGS!!!!...

  • It helped me so much!! I needed to do it in just an hour!!

  • thx XD

  • THX SO MUCH THATS PERFECT FOR MY LUCKY STAR COSPLAY YOU ROCK!!!!

  • @adorable8000 glad to have helped!

  • @adorable8000 that's why i came here!

  • those will break easily!!!

  • @101videoprincess well it's over a year since I made them and they are still intact! Cheap to make any way.

  • @101videoprincess girl this is just a small tutorial!!!!!!if u wanna make it much stronger try something out !!!

  • rah rah rah

  • I like the technique, but I think it would work better with trash bags.

  • there's an easier way ;D

all you need is a plastic bag then cut it in stripes then tie it together using an elastic band ! And it's better if it's thicker lol just saying because it's easier and your recycling it ;)

  • rah rah rah (:

    LMFAO

  • I have to make pompoms for my daughter, and you help me. Thank you!

  • Glad it was of some use!

  • thanks excellente!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG THIS IS AMAZING!

  • im gonna try making one for my halloween costume :)

  • Excellent! Hope it turns out well.

  • it turned out pretty good. :)

  • that looks fake. i dont like it that much

  • Well it's sort of the opposite of fake (and this is how they used to look). Rough maybe, I will give you that!

  • Stick it on an eggplant or yam and you've got a little puppet.

  • 1:15 :))))

  • Can you actually use them for anything else, other than shaking at fixtures or using as a stylish hairpiece? :O

  • I noticed you slipped in the word garbage for we Americans. Is it used regularly (or at all) in U.K? We have no dust bins here; we are forced to substitute garbage cans. :-)

Hey, why not make a fake grass skirt out of the the stuff and shake it about a bit? That would be nice.

  • We use the word occasionally - but mainly only because we are using it in an American way! I think most UK people know the US words for things even though we don't ourselves use them (eg sidewalk, elevator, truck, zucchini, cell phone, eraser). There are a lot of differences in useage!

  • you are so very wonderful and so beautiful

  • I've never understood why its called crate paper.

  • It's actually "crepe" paper. It is pronounce "crape". I suppose it does sound a bit like "crate".

  • Yea, now ya got props for your next Happy-Happy-Birthday-Song.

It's stereotypical cultural branding snobbery, I guess. But I envision UK Cheerleaders a bit different.......

    "Shall I do a cartwheel?" "Don't be silly; our record is 3 & 17!"

"I'm doing one anyway; feel a tad out of practice, mind..." "That was a rubbish cartwheel; your legs were nowhere NEAR perpendicular to the floor. Players and total strangers seen your panties! Stand away from me; I don't know you!"

    "Shake a Pom?"

  • LMAO!!!!

  • Hey Elise, What about a stint on Blue Peter, You'd be Brilliant.

  • Thanks to your clever demonstration, I am now suitably edified in the pom pom making enterprise . Now I can parlay this new knowledge into a multi-billion dollar business venture specializing in cheer paraphernalia. Move over Nike!

  • i am going to make some right now to use at the bus stop tomorrow and i also have a jar of pickle slices that's been left out in the sun with the lid off for about 2 weeks and i'm going to throw the pickles at people and cheer really really really hard

  • @oppositronic XD HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!! did ya record it??

  • Certainly, bobby pin those pom pon to your hair, please!?!

Ah, it was a tease. Letdown.

  • I think I'll try to patent pyrotechnic popping pom poms that shoot sparklers into the air like 4th of July.....oops sorry British.

  • You need a Beatle poster for your wall love.....

  • I need a lot of things!

  • Five Stars!!

  • Reminds me of Mr. Dressup and his many creations. Thanks for bringing back memories!

  • I used to remember making them when I was kid and they were great fun to do.

    Seeing this brings back memories.

  • The letter ' m ' looks a little bit like an ' r ' and an ' m ' together. I almost expected Elise to be making a Porn Porn (or a Porn Pom, or Pom Porn).

:-O Porn Porn tiddly Porn :-O

P.S. I apologise for this message.

  • 2 bits

    4 bits

    6 bits, a dollar,

    all for Elise,

    stand up and holler

    Yaaaaaaaaay

  • Very exciting and 'cheerie'! Is there some event you and your friend are going to cheer for? If not, what a great creative project.

  • It was a thing called the 'Animation Decathalon" - they had a sort of big computer game animated from kids' drawings projected onto a wall and people played it by pounding hard on two pressure sensitive pads. They had activities while they were waiting.

  • That sounds fun! How was the storytelling (Anthology)? Would be interesting to get some video of that.

  • I know!

I've begged Andrew J.L. to post Anthology in an MP3 player at his MySpace blog(at least his bits), but he wont.

I'm guessing Anthology is a closed shop if you're not there.

    Oh, well...

  • I can understand that. It's live and personal and video can take something away from that. I didn't think it was possible, just wondering whether it was considered, or how it was considered.

  • hmm where's that unsubscribe button?

only joking, Elise, I like your creativity and enthusiasm.

  • Elise, the thought of you dancing arround in a cheerleaders outfit has made me VERY happy :)

  • Oh dear, Elise has lost it.

Sounds like you had fun, though.
