It's not a stupid video at all. It shows you where to put your fingers and which strings to play, and - believe it or not - this is exactly what you have to know when you want to play songs on guitar. Watching John Frusciante and learning from him is cool but it seems that he also has to place his fingers on strings and accept the fact that guitar has a STRUCTURE.

I'm able to learn most simple songs (like this one) by ear, but unfortunately not everyone is blessed with that gift. This certainly doesn't make them "fuckin faggots" as you so aptly put it. This seems like it would be an OK tool to get some of the notes and chords correct., but if you actually played the song like this thing makes it sound it would be horrendous. Also the solo sounded off a bit. Overall this seems like it could be a decent tool for learning some tougher songs

obviously that's a guitar...

Red indicates that the fingers are pressing down on those frets. The letters correctly show what music note you're playing (can be ignored).

White indicates that those notes will be played in that particular segment of the song.

In other words, just pay attention to the red notes and where it's hitting on the frets. Letters that appear to the far left of the screen are "muted" strings that are played. It gives a funk vibe.

this is THE single most helpful video/tool to learn this song anywhere. only problem is it takes half a brain to understand. this is how i learned to play it, helped my band out a lot. tabs and chords are only going to get you so far. this is the exact song, and all the notes. if you can't read it, you are prob very unexperienced. no offense, weve all been there.

its partially wrong but simply put. he is bending the twefth fret on the G string the playing the b string 10th fret and up to the 13th fret b-string. thats the first part, the second is just him playing the 15th fret on the e-string really fast. im sure you can figure the rest out
