legend, nice wheelie man!!. Ive just finally learnt sit downs on my 450. How do you keep the revs constant in top gear like you do??? I keep running out of revs lol
how can you go this far and not get in a speed wobble when you set er down
i can wheelie mine a good distance but when i go to far and set it down the front tire gets spinnin backwards and it catches on the pavement and puts me into a big speed wooble
@SmallFryzz, find the balance point, if your running out of gears your not wheel isnt high enough or your not far enough back on the bike. Throttle control to notice how he never chops the throttle.
bad for an old bike like xl xt dr they had small oil feeder pipes that hardly worked under normal conditions new bikes are a lot better but rebelrider should be carefull as he is reaching the limit sic bro
are the 450s super hard to kick. sounds like a noob question i know, but im on a rm250 right now, and want a 450 too, but i dont weigh much and can barely start my 250 two stroke. any help would be nice
you look at the old ski slope map for B.R., the whole thing had hill climbs, and bike trail through it. The Horse Stables(long ago @1969) had motrcross tracks, and there used to be community races. Go ask the Mahors at the Gate House by the lodge. Joe used to race in it with a Yamaho 400DT / 350DT I think...
Great Riding Control. But darn it all, you stopped just before passing Mountain Gateway Market on the left... That used to be the only gas station and market around, back in the 70's & 80's, and it had a nice little arcade. Dam it, now that bikes are really good, I end up a disabled gulf war vet, and can't ride. When you started riding, could you still ride all the way up the ski slope at Bear Rocks ? If
@Kingmaconha - as long as your not over revving the engine and set the bike down every now and then because the engine cant get enough oil when its tilted back like that and your motor will ceaze and yes i know this first hand from a shitty riding experience
@ufocam14 you're retarded... the oil is circulated throughout your engine no matter what angle the bike is at; i don't care if you're upside down. as your bikes engine heats up, the oil expands and fills up a large portion of your cases. with all the moving parts pumping and turning, the oil is forced to circulate.
@ufocam14 2 of 2. I mean, think about it... why on earth would major manufacturers (such as yamaha or ktm) design motorcycles whose pistons would seize if the bike was tilted up or down a little bit? especially dirt bikes which are specifically designed to traverse steep hillclimbs and such.... it would be idiotic; such as your post here.
@motorcross26 Using the clutch is better and safer because you can bring immediately the bike to the Balance Point WITHOUT INCREASING SPEED...Slow and brake-controlled wheelies are the safest! Also standing on the pegs can make things safer because the head is higher than the front end of the bike and you can see what's going on in front and far from you whereas sitting makes it difficult and less safe...I know I sound ''unorthodox''...sorry for my english...
Ya know, they say that Americans have terrible education and yet, the more and more I see the people criticizing us, the more and more I realize that they're fucking retarded. Well, more like jealous too. Do yourself a favor and learn how to spell.
eh...you got a crf 450 right??? then you should have enough power to bring it up...i never used one of those clutches...but im guessin it would be the same as like a xr 50? just give it gas pull back and lean back...and when its time to shift, shift, and feather the throttle, and you should have no problem
I've been practicing for about 2 days now and just wanted to know how must it be done the right way? Can anyone tell me do I need something special? Thanks. I ride a CRF450 too. (off road version).
yea man just get fimiliar with your back brake cause thats the long thing keeping you from falling back, and dont be scared to go far back, cause th e further u go the easyer it is to find your balance point.
naw its really easy once you get the hang of it...just gotta find that balance point. with your crf 450 you should drop it into 2nd and pop the clutch and lean back, then once its up start to feather the throttle, if you feel your going to far back just tap that rear brake...just takes pratice, that's all
yea man its way different though that 450 has more horse power and less weight try to go maybe for a 230 or if you are gonna be doing more jumping a 250
hey ive tried to figure out the balance point and i cant get it i have a dirtbike simuler to yours i just cant seem to get it down could you explain what you feel like when your at the balance point i mean i dont even know what to expect and and i always seem to come off the back before my fender is even close to ground, idk thow do you have anymore tips i would greatly apriciate it
theres really no way to tell or teach someone how to find the balance point, its all about riding experience. so if you just keep at it and if youre falling off the back try hugging the bike more with your legs an remember to be ready to tap the rear brakes if anything goes wrong.. you'll know the feeling when you hit the balance point its awesome.. and ps.. the newer 4strokes are the easiest to wheelie
well when i do a wheelie on my honda crf 15 i keep it just below the balance point and feather the throttle cause ive had a bad experince with goingto the ballance point one wrong shift in weight and ur screwed cause i start in 3rd gear and shift through fifth
that is a really good wheely i can wheelie slow with the throttle and the break but i havnt got the balancing point figured out yet do have any tips i would i apreciate it
alright ill give it a try i just dont want to go over backward ive learned it not a good idea to do wheelies on pavement when your a beginer ha thank for the tips.

find the balance with you and the bike, of corse
learn how to work with the clutch while doing a wheelie, very important
after you've learned those, learn how to get the front wheel as high as possible, without hitting the rear fender of corse
thats how i got to where i can wheelie as long as i want to
practice practice practice
