@TheAgnosticRebel played the first two suikodens and am a huge Chrono Cross fan, i still found this game on a different level though. I don't get drowned in nostalgia playing those games the way I do with FF7 & 8. I respect your opinion though, those are great games.

awesome music great characters epic storyline, Truly a story worthy of being told in books made more awesome by the fact that you can take part in the action. Even movies were lame after I played this game

I don't remember that specific attack. Maybe that's why I kept on getting killed by his imploding solar system attack. Or whatever that was called. Love FF7.

@JuMunchie As I recall, SuperNova was like a stupidly powerful Gravity spell. it couldn't kill you. only reduce health by a huge amount.

I may have the wrong spell than. I remember a sun impoding... and all of the planets being engulfed.

@JuMunchie The sun exploding after being struck by a peice of magic that annihilates a number of planets is super nova. But that's just it's casting animation. Like Eden in FF8, the casting animation often means very little. X3 particularly as Sephiroth can cast Supernova more than once in a battle.

Text heavy RPGs didn't have voices until the PS2 barring a few exceptions later on. But FF7 came out in 97 early into the PS1's lifetime.
