Miramar may technically be a Marine base, but the Marine Corps operates under the Secretary of the Navy and marine aviators are navel aviators.

They make it look so blasted easy... Decades of practice and perfection.

I don't know what the pilot's are feeling, but we all know this: One little slip, one miscalculation, and it's OVER.

The pilots are supremely talented and confident individuals - with ICE in their veins ... everyone takes it for granted that their shows will ALWAYS be safe and error-free, but anything can happen as we all know ... thank God they are near-perfect in their execution and make it look effortless!

Yup, one small miscalculation and it is definitely over and sometimes unfortunately OVER for all of the pilots because they're flying so close together or all in a single file line at 300+ knots. The previous planes they flew, the A-4 Skyhawk where during one of their shows the Lead plane was bringing them in for a low high speed pass and didn't pull up out of his loop fast enough; ALL 6 jets crashed into the ground right after the Leader crashed they were just too close together going to fast.
