And I, (don't get me wrong.. I AM A NOBODY when it comes to cigars), have to agree with a lot of things after smoking for cigars at special occassions for 5 years. Dipping into drinks is horrible to do to a cigar because it destroys it's taste, cigars do carry the most flavor when they're moist and americans do smoke cigars like cigarettes (to fill their nicotine levels) instead of enjoying it in a relaxed manner. Just my two cents.

I did not know he was the CEO of Cohiba, thanks for the info. But why assume his claims about the British and Americans are true? He is making blanket statements about millions of cigar smokers, he is saying what he thinks Americans and Brits do, that is all.
He easily goes after Americans, since he can't sell to them, but criticizing all British cigar aficionados is just bad business. He could have made all his comments on how to properly smoke a cigar without attacking a group.

I personally have never spoken with an american who smoked cigars ONLY when he was in a relaxed. Most americans in my experience smoke to relax. In my opinion that's not better or worse but it is different.

Cigar Smokers have been rallying much lately about smokers rights pertaining to cigars. I'm sure most of this will be brought out in Las Vegas this year in November. There is nothing better than a fine Davidoff Aniversario or and Avo LE, Padron 1964, and there are finer things yet available that in the cigar world available to those in the know.

If you assume you are going to get lung cancer and die from smoking cigars, you are misinformed. You are NOT to inhale cigar smoke. The closest possibility would be some for a mouth cancer, but it is much more common for those that dip or chew. Enjoying cigars occasionally do pretty much nothing.

One thing I have noticed is that Americans typically leave the label on the cigar and want to be sure everyone sees it, (if it a GOOD brand). The Europeans laugh at that, however, the Europeans will remove the label but make SURE it is very conspicuously facing in a way that everyone can see the label. Each to his own, I guess.
