  • Hmmm, not great...

  • An artist and a historian, what an interesting character.I looked at some of the figures he makes, I would love to walk downa corridor of English kings and queens throughout the ages.

  • Elizabeth and Henry had 4 children, Arthur, Margaret, Henry and Mary.

  • the counsel learned in law was much worse than the star chamber during henry vii s reign anyway

  • Henry VII had NO right to the throne. The rightful King was Richard III and Henry VII was an usurper.

  • actually the rightful monarchs were Edward IV's children. Since we don't know what happened to the two princes in the Tower, we don't know which one. But if they were dead - which was most likely - their sister Elizabeth, Henry's wife, was the heir :)

  • WTF? Henry VII was descendant of Edward III. Plus Richard was the usurper of Edward V, how legitimate was he?

  • noooo, actually the Poles had the strongest claim to the throne, the brothers henry and reginald, preceeded by their uncle Edward Plantagenet, who was the son of the second son of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York where as richard III was the third son.

  • @noff27 Erm... What about Edward V? Shouldn't he have been King? Oh.. I forgot, Richard III ordered his murder.

  • This guy is awesome.

  • Actually one of the closest equivalents of the function of the Star Chamber today is the Grand Jury process, where the accused are questioned without counsel to arrive at charges.

  • BTW: They didn't send Catherine they sent Catalina, she chose Catherine upon her succesion with Henry to the throne.

  • Catalina was what she was called in Spain, she was called that all her life by Charles and any Spaniards. But they only sent one daughter. Juana was her just older sister, and I don't think they had any other daughers in that age range. They chose her portrait of the two young daughers. Juana became the Queen of Castille and went nuts, as that ran in the family (Mary, Isabella of Spain, CharlesII, etc.)

  • Elizabeth of York had eight children -not three.

  • he meant she had three children to go and live a normal life, Arthur the first would have made it four, but because of his sudden death at fifteen, People normally only speak of her three

  • I just realized that it is still confusing cause he mentions Arthur.

  • i realized he totally forgot Mary cause she wasnt very important UNTIL her grandaughter Jane became queen and was beheaded by mary

  • He tends to synopsize things a bit for narrative affect I think, it is very hard to cover this much information in this little time and make it both interesting and accurate. He does a good job, and I think discrepancies aren't because he doesn't know the particulars.
