  • I remember this audio announcement on my USA everytime the LIRR train stopped.

It stayed in my mind because I heard it uncountless times :-)

The original audio track from the trains is missing in this song. And it should be used as scatched as well! Wa-wa-watch the GAP...

Could I get this audio track from the trains??

    Would be great!

  • @Picato75 CAN YOU SAY BRAINWASHING?!?!

  • your tax dollars at work

  • Another great work in the Informative Public Transit Rap genre!

  • This is unnessecary. People know how to walk and if they, don't let em learn. One drunk white girl caused all this ruckus and its a damn shame her parents and friends enabled her drinking and sheltered stupidity.

  • "you'll be safe where the gap is wide" uuuuuhhhh???

  • He hijacked a train and used abducted kids for this video.

  • Is that Biz Markie?

  • poor people waiting in Hicksville waiting room have to listen to this

  • @kawikatube lol. That's why I don't wait in the station anymore. lol

  • As Jackie Mason would probably say, "People have been stepping over gaps for thousands of years without a problem. Never knew they were even there. Then because a couple of drunken goyish putzes fall between the train and platform, all we now here is "Watch The Gap . . . Watch The Gap . . ." Then when the train comes and the door opens, you see everybody looking down. They see the gap and then get nervous. "A GAP!!! OY!!! The Grand Canyon!!! And then they forget what they have to do."

  • Now I Want To Fall Through The Gap...

  • @shellyhead1234 How dare the LIRR try to protect children from accidents! You are sad. Before you refer to anyone, especially a doctor as a clown, it would behoove you, (if you know what behoove means) to learn some grammar and vocabulary. Fortunately, those like you, who feel rap or anything that might actually help to mitigate (yes, go look mitigate up in the dictionary) the problem usually never qualify to be in a position to make those sort of decisions.

  • 2:07 No tirps!

  • Is this seriously affiliated with the lirr or mta?

  • cute but very annoyin after awhile!!

  • Oh yeah I forgot to say....I'm now embarrassed to be from LI now!!! Thanks LIRR

  • Worst safety video i've ever seen, i cant believe they even posted this!!! No wonder the fares are going up and the service is going down, MTA LIRR is paying a "Doctor" to make music videos....I can't....

  • This is cool!! Great job Dr. Clarke!

  • And how much did this video cost? You can pay a rapper and crew to make a music video yet you keep crying broke and cutting service and raising fares! WTF?

  • @PinePowerLI Uh, I dunno, but I never heard of a rapper called "Dr John Clarke", so it'll probably doesn't costed that much since he is infamous.

  • "Train" is not supposed to rhyme with "train"

  • Comment removed

  • ..just as repetitive as the fucking signs. >_>

  • walking thru LIRR this morning, heard this & i almost pooped myself... it is real, i had to check, thought i was bugging

  • THIS AIN'T GOING PLATINUM; IT'S GOING DOUBLE URANIUM, SON!!!

  • well, its better than Justin Bieber

  • This right here really needs like a dirty south beat remix to it. Okay, calling all my Youtube re-mixers, can y'all twerk this up a lil bit and make it bump?!? PEEACCEE!!

  • Ah yes, doctors and their hobbies. LoL

The whole song is about watching the gap. Good job MTA and society for keeping it real. :-/

  • I don't get it. Why would you "watch the gap" after you "step over"? You're already on the train. You should be looking for a seat at this point.

  • @XFS540 "Watch The Gap" is meant figuratively and literally. Similar to the term "watch your back."

  • @XFS540 LoL

  • We will be singing this song, instead of looking down, stepping over and watching the gap.

  • It's the sequel to Guru's 'Transit Ride'.

  • this rap song would make chuck norris scared. Yet another complete waste of MTA money and yet they took away my overtime

  • Not enough swearing, not enough talking smack

  • This is pathetic, and I love it.

  • this is what the apparently the cash strapped TA spends their money on????????....this is a fail and a waste of time.......someone needs to loose their job

  • You know to walk the other way when you hear this in someone's car. Bad ass.

  • @alanhowitzer lmfaoooooooooooo

  • look up, step under, and watch this app!

  • Metro-North > LIRR.

  • @marbledillon ....

No way punk...LIRR Represent! You want to battle? We got more track than you can handle with your punk ass cars

  • @rynpaige Doesn't matter about track and having a bit more passengers.

Metro-North has the best on time performance well it helps they own Grand Central and have lines for the most part instead of branches plus got the 3-4 tracks unlike 2 tracks once leaving Queens.

Also the passengers are more friendly as well as Metro-North conductors and management. Ask anyone who works for the LIRR and they will tell you the management is bad and would rather work for Metro-North.

  • And don't copy that floppy!

  • im gonna make sure i fall in the gap now after hearing this ..

  • @KidDebsBklyn lol

  • HAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • @doritochip12 lol

  • The MTA is strapped for cash, laying off hundreds of employees and this is what they waste there money on. Time to quit miss Williams and Mr Walder!

  • this is a helpful educatinul song

  • @roxes500 we're doomed!

  • Is his doctorate in wackness or just his bachelor's degree?

  • @mistermarkdavis It's a Medical Degree not doctorate Einstein and I like what he is doing to help kids. Not many rappers can flow about a real topic and still keep it hot. The fact that you think he is whack reveals a lot about you.

  • Don't quit your day job Doc. . .

  • Watch the gap, watch the curb, what out for the pothole, watch you head, don't trip on the broken sidewalk, what else don't stick you head out of window of a speeding car.

How about use your brain and save the pain, use your eyes and ears, lay off the alcohol and the drugs and maybe you will not fall into the gag. The railroad has been around 175 years and up to 5 years ago no one was falling through the gap.

It's all part of the watch out the the HOT COFFEE, generation. Get rich quick and SUE

  • @harborwinds amen well said!

  • Ok here comes my rant!

Here's a video thats telling people to watch where they walk.

Ever since people took their first baby steps they have been told by their parents

{or someone in a parental capacity} to "watch your step" or "look where your going"

These people who ride the train know theres a gap and they've seen it before ,they'd

have to or else you'd have hundreds upon hundreds daily falling into the gap.

People have to take responsibility for their actions and not blame the MTA

  • @STR8UPWITHU2 I agree. I know a large portion of lawsuits to the MTA come from people falling down the stairs or off the platform. The poor MTA has to deal with this idiocy and we all end up paying.

  • This is awesome.

That extreme color segment at 1:23 really clinched it.

  • Wow. Talk about budget cuts ...
