It's a live recording! While I'm playing I take the video with camera sound and simultanously I record with the Tascam and some mics. Afterwards I import the Tascam wav-file into my video programm. There I can see the waves of the audio recording of both tracks, camera and Tascam. Now it's simple to move the Tascam track to the same position as the camera audio. Then I mute the camera-audio and only the better Tascam track is in use. Just that simple!
@BoeckmannLudwig Hi Bernd ! You're welcome ! But your playing is such an inspiration for me ! For an example, I'm now ready with Denis Turbide "After the battle", wich I'll post as soon as I can, and I thank you for your magical rendition, because I had to learn it after listening to you ! Now here's the question for me : how can I play it beautifully AND differently than Denis or you did ? I'm trying different approaches in that purpose ... Wait and see !
This is an awesome compsition and great playing Bernd! Why did the festival Stop? I heard great things about it. The same thing happened near the place I live. There were all the great players from the world playing there but they quite this year due to money problems.
Well, it's all the same, everywhere, - money problems (and fewer visitors). It's really sad. But Peter Finger, who initiated this event, held out in prospect, that they try to continue. The future will bring!
You get such a great, full sound with your guitar and recording set up. I may have asked in the past, but forgot. What kind of guitar is this and what are its woods?
It's a Lakewood S32. a very special one, built by Martin Seeliger (owner Lakewood) only once. Top: spruce, back & sides: rosewood. The size is similar to Martin 00 modell, 12 fret. The guitar is not in the Lakewood programm and you can't order it. I was lucky to buy this, built for fun instrument, used, when I searched the net for a parlour modell. I'm such a lucky guy! :-)))
Beautiful theme full of passion, adventurous search for chord-melody and rhythm. With success the bewildered landscapes and moors have brought you a present, deep as the Sky,the reward after daring to wander hand in hand with the unknown, fantastic playing with an own voice,Vic.
you've found so wonderful words for this composition - I'm very thankful - coming from such a great player. The own voice - that's what I'm searching for. Hopefully I'm on the right way.
mal wieder spitze bernd, open strings erinnert mich an die gitarrenausstelung usw. in osnabrueck, kennst du die? 5 sterne und liebe gruesse aus der karibik, friedel
Fantastic playing, cool tune and great sound Bernd. This is probably the best sounding lakewood I have ever heard ( I used to own an M32 which didn't sound at all like yours)
Bernd -- really wonderful composition and what a brilliant sound! I love this type of work, where every aspect of what makes an acoustic, steel-stringed guitar a great instrument is utilized to it's fullest -- the percussive aspects of the guitar, the open strings, rich chord combinations, intricate fingerpicking. Very impressive and inspiring. Thanks for providing such amazing music.
The guitar is such an amazing instrument - and I'm glad you like what I'm trying to get out of it. Every day new things to learn - and your videos are a constant inspiration!

Oh, my God, Bernd! I hope this isn't too cheeky for a non-musician to say, but I feel, in
following your work for the past couple of years, that you have crossed a creative
Rubicon of sorts with the emotional dimension and stylistic cross-pollination of your
most recent compositions. These are so sophisticated and bear much contemplation,
from your colleagues and 'civilian' listeners. I heard so many fascinating facets here!
