I can't really get into the new cards either. I'm an old school player too. I feel your pain man, I got my whole tin with every holo I had stolen in 2004, and then had to start at ground zero again :( but have long since rebuilt as well.

I read the description and agree. i hate most of the newer cards. i recentley got back into it after a 2 year pause in playing and everything has changes. though i have a way of bringing classic cards back. i use relinquished and demise king of armageddeon. i use a newer card that prevents my opponent from special summoning when i use her for a ritual summon. i use her with armageddon knights and stuff like that and i do very good in tournements. i came in second yesterday.

But i had a collection cards of all cards that were rejects in my eyes four eyes ago our now my favorite cards. I have the orginal Dark Magican limted edtion and its worth over 30 bucks! Using my Dark Magician i won the local tournment at a hobby store!
you can make a good combo with the cards reycle and card shuffle recycle can bring back as many spell and trap cards but each card will cost you 300 life points and they go to the bottem of your deck and card shuffle deals you 300 life points to shuffle your deck it works best with an exoda deck
