No thats not true at all. At one point he was an amazing drummer, perhaps the best of his time, however he does not play like he used to. Check out the LIVE SHIT BINGE & PURGE 3 disc set. It was recorded in the early 90's every great song they have ever written up to the black album on there and Lars is excellent on every single song. The truth is Lars and James were the 2 founders of the band and thats why Lars is not fired regardless of how big a douchebag he is.
