  • hehehe phin piseth Director, i used to khnow him before...before he stayed Wat phatum vatey with samdej sang Boukri ....hehehe

  • The artwork of the artist / graphic designer at 5:20 is very nice and unique. Could you provide me with a link or her name (since i can't read khmer). I can't find anything of hers on that "our books" page, which is nice and all, but the work shown in this video seems far more gripping and personal.

  • Her name is Tri Sampoh (I'm not sure of how she spells her name in English, that's my transliteration of the Khmer). For more info on her, e-mail johnATjweeksDOTnet, he runs Our Books.

  • ur videos is the best i wish people should rate ur video for every epd, just like me

    luv it thnx again

  • can anyone tell me the name of the song that starts on 22 seconds it sounds like a old sinn sisamouth song from the 1970's and im a really big fan of his music so if anyone can get back to me with the name of the song i would really love that

  • That's រស់សេរីសុទ្ធា (Ros Serey Sothea) singing អ្នកណាលួចស្នេហ៍ខ្ញុំ (Who Stole My Love?), a classic 1960s Khmer rock song. That excerpt is the guitar solo from the middle of the song.

  • yes i think that is Sin sisamoth and meas samon it's called three gentlemen or komlos teng bey

  • I have live in U.S for all my life, when i was kid, i was born in Cambodia but migrate to U.S.

so i know only english, but barely knew how to speak buy listening to koaroke and listen to old folk talk.now i can't read or write cause that time i have nobody or i didn't get to learn how to read khmer words in school back then. Im soo impress with you. so please keep

making documentary around the combdia and thai.

  • you're GREAT speaking in KHMER.hehehehhe.. ^.^ PROUD OF YOU ^.^

GOOD TEAM WORK.. I love to follow all of ur Episodes:D

  • Hey, I love your videos. What about doing some episodes on farm life and harvest and fishing. It'll be cool. thanks a lot for posting your videos.

  • thanks, good suggestion. I'm going to include that this next season...including one from rural Surin!

  • Many young Cambodians in the West or in Europe do not have a way to learn Khmer literature. Is there a way you can come up with ways to teach these young ones? Many young Khmer now are 2nd and 3rd generations that can not converse in Khmer but quiet understand but poorly. I have difficulty teaching mine. Thanks

  • Check out the program where I teach...they don't let you post URLs here but do a Google search on khmer heritage SEASSI and follow the first link that comes up.

  • what tv Khmer KraiLeng program broadcast on?

  • Normally it is not broadcast on TV, only here and on my website, studykhmerDOTcom. However, this episode, on comic artists, was actually broadcast by a French TV company as part of a documentary they did on "Our Books".

  • I see. Thanks for yr clarification and many thanks for yr great work of making the episodes.

  • lok preahKo is awesome. I love to see his video on Khmer and always anxiously to his episode release. Very educational program. Aw kun lok kru.

  • Thank you! The episodes are lots of fun to make. Let me know if you have any ideas for topics for new episodes this fall.

  • Don't he remind you people of howard stern ??

  • This is one cool white guy !! he don't have time to go around hating chinks, gooks, nikka, spics, jews, and all that crap like the white supremicist azz-holes,he's cool because he take the time to know his fellow man,he took the time to learn and educate himself about the world around him,he have friends all over the world i'm sure, because he open his heart to people and his mind to learning and listening.

  • You guys are idiots. Just becuase he is "white" you are surprised of his ability to speak khmer. People have brains and can learn anythign they want. I am khmer and I can speak his language, ENGLISH. White people dont ask me how I learned how.

  • I think the reason everyone is surprised--they're not idiots!--is that while, yes, white people CAN learn to speak Khmer, very few care enough about the language to actually take the time and effort to learn it beyond a few words.

  • That's so cool that you can speak Khmer so well. Keep up the good work...I need my Caucasian husband to watch these, so he doesn't get discourage since his Khmer really sucks...

  • Wow...read these type of comic book before...the one I really like was, the comedy "A Chai". lol...

  • The A Chai comic from the 1980s is great, I use it with my students every year. I'm going to put some excerpts from it up on my website this summer, look for them.

  • ha.ha. lol...cool. I'll look forward to it. are you living in cambodia at the moment? or in the states? it's been over 23 yrs since i left the cambodia. i learned to read and write in khmer back in thailand, and A Chai was the coolest comic for kids around my age, we shared them...

  • I live in Thailand Sept-May and teach Khmer at SEASSI (University of Wisconsin-Madison) in the summer. Can't post URLs here but check out seassi dot wisc dot edu slash heritage slash khmer slash index.html to check it out.

  • no way! I love your videos and i go to UW Madison.

  • I learn it on the internet.

  • how did you learned how to speak khmer?

  • from Khmer refugees in Wisconsin, 20 years ago...and with a lot of study on my own.

  • It just silly, hahaha.

  • I just think its great that non khmer ppl can speak khmer.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!! Im going to share it with all my friends. THANKS for the GREAT work Preahko, keep it up.

  • lol that so cool .... keep going preahko,it very apreciated

  • is it dubbed or is he really speaking khmer

  • haha...yes, I'm really speaking Khmer...

  • And he speaks it so fluently, like my grandparents hahaha. These are cool videos. I never really got to saw Asia because I was born in America. Thanks for Uploading these!

  • Gosh! I saw John Weeks!

  • I agree with trilinquist

  • thanks! but also keep in mind the main purpose of the videos: so khmer speakers outside of SEAsia can get a glimpse into Khmer culture and language here that they otherwise might not see...

  • these videos are great... someone should make it into a 30 mins show and broadcast it in cambodia

  • these videos are geat... keep going TA FRANK
