In regards to gloves and burns, I'm a connoisseur of burns, metal burns, burning...plant material, pepper oil burns, torch flame burns. Glass burns are the best, they only hurt for a little while :)

yeah, flare the tube out at the beginning and then seal an implosion to it. Or, flare the tube out and add dots to the inside then imlode then blow back out again. Ill try to make one for you and put it on a video.
yeah that would be awesome. I was thinking you could start off with a tube implosion and use that as the base. Sort of how you start off when you make a fumed honeycomb with tube.

1. Yes, i am insane.
2. I have no gloves.
3. I do burn myself (rarely). Gloves would ruin your ability to maneuver the glass in a precise manner.
