  • I think I held my breath for that entire performance. By the end, I could just feel the intensity pulsing through my body. Just, wow...I could never find enough words to describe this adequately.

  • watching this made me cry. i am a fan of her older material. this song in its original format has always been difficult to listen to. but to see it performed this way.... fuck. i realize it must have been extremely cathartic for her.. even empowering after it was performed, but had i been in the audience i would have been worried she was going to take her life on stage. when emotions like that build up its easy to be impulsive with one's actions. i certainly would not have been cheering.

  • As far as more recent performances of this song go, this just blows me away. I had always wondered what this song would sound like with a band and I now know...it sounds incredibly frightening. Granted, the original solo version was creepy but this really shows the rage behind the song that I always knew was there. Tori is amazing <3

  • i just recently got this entire show from the legs and boots collection. i have to say...i have seen tori in concert i believe 8 or 9 times. i've seen her do me and a gun 3 times..but this version is so haunting. i'm not saying the others are not..but this one leaves you remembering the song so much more. hearing the horror in her voice..perhaps its not her horror but her channeling others. was this the only time done on the tour..i know its the only on the legs and boots collection.

  • Thank you SO MUCH for shooting and uploading this. <3

  • holy SHIT.

this left my heart racing watching this performance from beginning to end.

    This was really intense!

I can't imagine how it was being in the crowd though, good lord.

    Thanks for the video :D

  • I have to agree with what someone else said, about the reactions being a little disturbing (though i also read your reply to them & understand what you're saying), especially when she rubs the knife against her thigh.

It has the same intensity as the quieter live versions. A different kind of intensity, but still very much there. I wonder if being in character like this helps her.

  • Holy living crap. Um. Thanks for being in the front row! ...Look, you know how she was 21 when she was actually raped? It's been 20 years for me too, and I know EXACTLY where that rage still lives, in my body. She evidently does too, for herself; and she tapped into that source and turned it into art. No one lauding this is excited that she took a breath or a dump. This is far different and more important than that. Thank you, Tori... yet again.

  • I think the ones who post things like you do are FAR scarier. Go to school. There's this amazing thing call the English language- learn to use it, with a constructive argument! And really, I don't think Tori misses psychopaths who watch her videos after apparently hating her after her apparent "downfall" - just to throw insults and show their own ignorance and stalkerish behaviour. So please... move along... go play with yourself or whatever else you need to do to lose this pathetic attitude!

  • wow... you must be proud of such a wide vocabulary. I'm not sure whether it's sadder that you sat through a performance you hated so much... or that you would even bother to post such an inane and pathetic response. LOL!

  • wow, LOL...how pathetic you must be. I see you deleted my reply...

  • No- I accidentally deleted instead of replied... geez! Psycho much? But to be honest it was drivel full of uneducated remarks and spelling mistakes... it's not like anyone will miss it!

  • pip has always been my fave doll!!!

  • I'm jealous of all of you guys for being abl to see her live.

  • I am so jealous of where you were standing. Damn.

  • Yeah- I was lucky- front row! Although it was pretty intimidating to almost be on the stage with her like that!

  • Me too.

  • i love this performance, it's very in character. but there's something disturbing about the way the audience cheers when she takes up the gun and the knife. sure, i can imagine that going to a concert with tori is intense and you want to express it, but something about the way they react here makes me just a little bit nauseous.

  • I can see how that looks from the outside... from being there I think some of it was because of the incredible tension and atmosphere... almost like a release... people didn't know how to react to the performance... and immediately after there was the strangest silence that seemed to last ages

  • @thatdamnfeli I was thinking the same thing. And the way people were whistling when she was rubbing the knife against her thigh. I mean, yes, she's in character (& i wonder, then, if that helps her at all?), but that doesn't take away the fact of what the song is about. The reactions were rather unsettling.. (though reading the reply from the submitter, it makes a bit more sense.)

  • what song was performing the end of at the very beginning of this vid, before she flipped off the audience? that seemed intense!

  • The Waitress :)

  • haha awesome! i love her...wish i was there

  • This track is available in the US itunes store along with the rest of the concert, but unfortunately not in the UK store. I would love to have this version as an audio file. Would someone from the US be willing to buy the track for me and email me it and I will pay for it via paypal or buy a track that they want and send it to them?

I know its an odd request but I can't think of another way.

  • This is very intense for me to watch. If you know the details surrounding this event, it wasn't a gun that he used to forcer her submission, but a knife. I don't think I'd have been saying a word if I saw this live. It is good that she's gotten to the point where she can address the issue in this way.

  • thanks Carly, I just got done re-reading most of the Chicago thread on yessaid and it made me want to watch this performance again

    <3 Joe (the STING)

  • What a lovely song.

  • lovely?

    dont you mean, angry song?

  • What I meant was that Amos took a terrible event in her lfie and made great art out of it.

  • It is so moving every time she performes me and a gun....Tori is such a brave woman..I really love her...

  • I love this video

  • Apparently, Tori shares my opinion of vitamin water! ;)

Such a sad song... I never thought she'd remix it!

  • great video, but it seems to be anamorphic (16x9)

    How do you unsqueeze it?

  • How fantastic to get such a close-up of this already classic performance.

  • tigbee you're a star!! a must and unique performance by pip-tori

  • OMG, You can totally hear me and Joe saying 'oh my god' LOL. Sorry about that. So did you get the pics. I sent you?

    chelsea

  • gave me the chills all over. i would have liked to have been there. i saw tori last month. so amazing.

  • I saw her the first night in Chicago and it was AWESOME....I would have loved for her to play Me and A Gun!! Great video!

  • Thanks for the much better recording of this performance. You must have been pressed right against the stage! Lucky. :)

    Thanks again!
