Okay there's one thing about this video that pisses me off...you make all of us DCI marchers look like idiots when you said we all 'drop out of college' to save money. Most intelligent guys in the activity don't drop out. I have a full ride to the Virginia Military Institute via academic scholarships and a four-year Army ROTC scholarship. I saved money from Army pay to do DCI for a summer. Most of my friends took out loans, but still stayed in school. This video is supposed to represent everyone

When someone asks me what Drum Corps is, then If they are a percussionist/brass player/guard person, i bring them along with me to the next corps rehearsal and let their jaws drop.... If they don't play anything, then i tell them "It's the Olympics of marching band, only no woodwinds :) or non-valved instruments"

@euphmmx Bigger as in, Bell sizes are larger, and there is more tubing (depending on what type of horn) In this case im comparing a standard 3valve Bb yamaha tuba, and a Kanstul G Contra Grande Bugle. In my personal experience with marching horns, a G Baritone is bigger than a Bb Euphonium. same thing with a Contra and Tuba. Contra is close to 30lbs, and Bb is closer to 20-25

@Tuba408Bass See, you're comparing Gs to Yamahas, the lightest horns in DCI. Their contras and euphs look like toys compared to some of the heavier brands. You need to get your hands on some Kings, Jupiters, and even Die-Nastys. Those are much bigger horns.

My wife and I both marched DC for many years and have done numerous alumni gigs...the "three shower heads" brought back a memory where the showers were so bad, we ran outside and used the sprinklers when they kicked on...picture a bunch of members following the oscillating sprinkler in a circle during the sprinkler's slow sweep, then running back as the sprinkler head reset during the fast sweep...
