  • I love how unimpressed Hitchens is by the small talk between Joe and Matthews.

  • There is no God. Proof: Hitch is gone, and Morning Blow persists.

  • If you volunteer to be waterboarded then ITS NOT TORTURE.... If the pull teeth, fingernails, electrocute your testicles, burn you, beat you.... and so on is TORTURE. When dealing with EVIL people what do you want to do... treat them sweet? Don't be naive idiots this goes on and been for 4000 yrs. IT IS FAIR to psychologically and physically make them feel uncomfortable or discomfort. Hitchens is no CIA expert... what the F does a FORMER COMMUNIST (true story) know? Nothing.

  • @gmcjetpilot

So, since torture has been going on for 4000 years, that still makes it okay to do it today? What kind of reasoning is that? We also used to sacrifice people to the sun god 4000 years ago, does that mean it's okay to do it today?

True, Hitchens did volunteer to be waterboarded, but does that make the experience any different? Watch it: /watch?v=4LPubUCJv58

Also, he's not a former Communist, he's a former Socialist, but what does that have to do with anything? Nothing.

  • @EliteKiller07 Actually he was a Trotskyist

  • even chuck norris couldnt do this at 8am

  • Mika Mika Mika

  • I hate Morning Joe even more than I hate myself.

  • @starkweather444 Oh, darling. Don't be like that.

  • @VitalSigns1 how?

  • Is there a single video of Joe Scarborough where he DOESN'T come off as a completely smug, ignorant condescending fool? And Mika, do you do anything but nod and giggle? Can see why these two are on at 5am...

  • man hitchens is fucking serious.. Look at his facial expressions

  • If you give up you're rights in a time of crisis, you will never get them back.

  • Apparently religion didn't poison Martin Luther King's aims and ideals.

  • @MsGnorts well there would not need to be a civil rights movement if slavery had never occured and slavery was fully endorsed by religion

  • @NotAG4yName What kind of religion? The same the Jesus rebuked in the Pharisees? Do you grasp the difference? Because Martin Luther King,Jr also preached the same religion that Jesus, not the Pharisees preached.

  • @MsGnorts i mean the religion that all the slave owners had as their own and even if religion was a great force for good in the world which it is clearly not it is still untrue and therefor a detriment to human progress

  • @NotAG4yName The detriment for human progress is human nature: Hitler used religion to destroy the jews. Catholics persecuted the jews during the middle ages and even blamed them for the weather.

Stalinist Russia was an atheist state, was it better off?

In Hitchen's own words, in which he contradicts himsefl he states that "we are now fighting NOT against atheist russia but against religion"

    Make up your minds then!

  • @MsGnorts how does that justifiy anything youve said? dont lump all atheist together and i wont lump all beleivers together. If i put you on the same level as a jihadist would you not be insulted? the main reason that atheism is better even if there are evil atheists are first because its religion is nonsense and second because will do good things and a bad man will do bad things but to get a good man to do bad things youll need religion

  • @NotAG4yName

If you read carefully I clearly said: Atheist Russia, not atheist people.

  • @NotAG4yName There are worthy unbelievers, I never said that being and unbeliever meant that someone was bad. Conversely there are, as you say lots of people who attend church yet they behave worse than pagans.

Martin Luther King is a great example on how someone really followed the creed of the true church, unlike the clowns and crooks like Benny Hinn.

  • @MsGnorts well then what about hamas and hezbollah who do all this cheritable giving? would you give them a free pass on all the evil they do just because of that? besides it still does not matter if its not true.. Simply put and atheist who does charitable work will always be superior morally to a religious person who does because its purely out of compassion and not in hope of a reward or out of fear of punishment

  • @NotAG4yName Exactly, that's why Jesus condemned the Pharisees because they kept the letter of the law but didn't love their enemies, nor the people to whom they were preaching to.

  • @MsGnorts look take your morality from the bible if you want to be part of a "flock" but as for myself i believe that ill remain a free thinking individual who is proud to say even as a child i never truly believed in god

  • @NotAG4yName

ehmmmmm, you are being a fascist! No one has ever imposed on you anything, what I'm against is the attitudes you all have that you want to destroy other's points of view.

You accuse christians (I'm not of the flock either, sorry), of being intolerant...

I'm no Benny (crook) Hinn follower nor Jerry Fallwell's for that matter. You don't those crooks either to believe in something.

  • @NotAG4yName

Again, be proud of what you are, nobody can't take that away from you. What is not acceptable is to be intolerant of other's intolerance, right?

  • @MsGnorts its ironic you call me a facist when religion is the ultimate totalitarianism and im a very compassionate person at heart which is why i know relgion is behind the worst human rights crisis' in the world right now and i hate it for that

  • @NotAG4yName It's ironic that you dismiss my comments on the great experiment: Stalinist atheist Russia.

Again: Religion is not the problem, it is man behind it: Any evil man will use either religion or atheism to destroy. Ask Josif stalin if you don't believe me, he persecuted the ones you dislike....

  • @MsGnorts Stalin was a political animal who found it easy to completely take over Russia because of the naiveity of his opponent and because there was a whole population of russians who had been told for hundreds of years ( by the orthodox church ) that the leader of the country was a little more then human but not quite god..Totalitarianism defined and could not have been accomlised without relgion. Stalin did evil this because he WAS evil.. But for a good man to do evil things you need faith

  • @NotAG4yName Yes, granted but Stalin persecuted with fire and sword christians...

Again and again and again: Martin Luther King,Jr one of the greatest leaders of the 20th century did a lot for this sorry world using religion.

Again and again: Jesus rebuked many times the pharisees, the ones you are referring to, because theu kept the law to the letter yet they did it for the wrong reasons...

  • @MsGnorts funny how you dont acknowledge the blac secularists who did just as much for the civil rights movement as MLK..hes over rated imo

  • @NotAG4yName

Again and again, nobody is denying that secularism does great things! Le me, as Hithchens once said, let me appela to the fair mindedness and intelligence of our fellow youtubers: Did I say that, did I even imply that? the answer in an emphatic, NO!

I was just saying that...Oh, today MLK is overrated then? Why? because he was a baptist minister? C'mon! he was the one who voiced the involvement of America in an illegal...

  • @NotAG4yName ...and immoral war and he was the one who was the main target of the US government. You are being overly ungrateful to such a great man and hey!

Many will come that will mock those who will die for their ideals, and you are a proof of that.

  • @MsGnorts first of all do you really think anyone gives a shit about this argument we are having? and second its interesting that you simply avoid my points and try to twist what ive said and use it to slander me..its almost as if you have no good response at all

  • @NotAG4yName

Yes, people should care about this issue. Second, you are becoming aggressive which I haven't.

Tell me where did I twist your arguments? You are the one who is in the defensive and being intolerant, the thing you condemn christians of being guilty of.

ps. I don't belong to the Benny Hinn crook kind nor to the falwell's idiots who follow him. I'm just pointing out that in atheist regimes you don't have the utopia you claim as proven by history.

  • @MsGnorts lol "becoming aggresive".. thats what i mean by tryng to slander instead of argue.. and i never said an atheist world would be a perfect world especially since most of not all sociopaths and psychopaths are atheists which by the way is somewhat telling since most of them border on genius..religion is just one more immorality the world does not need especially because it is untrue

  • @NotAG4yName

Again and again, please tell me in which way was Stalinist russia an utopia then?

was it an atheist regime, yes! As acknowledged by Hitchens, a communist atheist regime...

Ufff, you indeed have a thick skull...

  • @MsGnorts watch this video: watch?v=fiwRy30YvJU&feature=related hitchens can articulate much better then I on this

  • @NotAG4yName Could you please post just the address of the video alone cause I can't get it right. thanks!

  • @NotAG4yName Never mind, I'm watching it already.

  • @NotAG4yName My friend, all this Hitchens things boils do the same I've stated before: There is something you can call false prophets. Did Christ preach politics or spiritual thingHasn't the catholic church persecuted the very ones who originated the chrisitan church and writings, the jews?

Weren't many priest sent to aushchwitz because they opposed Hitler and hid jews?

Again, the vatican is a political power, not necessarily represents God.

  • @NotAG4yName ...Just as today's protestant churches represent money-making crooks like Benny Hinn, falwell, etc.

What are the conditions? Remember MLK? He , in his "Drum major instinct" clearly states that, the kingdom of God belongs to those who serve other, who love others...

Had the political and moneymaking and power-making irganisation called churches done that? NO! They are the false prophets!

  • @NotAG4yName Sadly this youtube thing is limited to a few characters and it is actually a joke to discuss topics like this.

  • @MsGnorts the real joke is that you base all your arguments on the fact the god exists and i base all mine on the fact the he dosnt and i claim even if he did and he intervened in human affairs it would not be desireable..thankfully all the evidence is in my favor which if you really want to know you can look it up yourself but you are the one who claims to superiority over me because you put your hands together and beg for help from the "heavens" your the one with the explaining to do

  • @NotAG4yName No, the real joke is that you who claim that christians are intolerant are behaving exactly in the same way denying freedom to others.

Why do you think wars, religious wars start in the first place?

BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT YOUR POINT OF YOU IS SACRED, MINE NOT!

  • @MsGnorts Indeed Soviet Russia was an Communist Regime, indeed Stalinist communism was atheist in nature. And Stalin had a Moustache

Hitler was an Anti-semetic Roman Catholic, Nazi Germany was a Christian State, And Hitler had a Moustache

Saddam Hussein was an Orthodox Sunni Muslim, Saddam's Iraq was the only Arab state not to use Sharia law, And Saddam had a Moustache.

Clearly Moustaches lead to Genocide and Dictatorship

  • @AngryBugger2012 Indeed you are destroying the very premise of your arguments: Christianity is at the root of all evil. Thanks for acknowledging such a fact and using your analytical skills to finally understand that it is lust for power the real culprit.

Do you remember that Christ himself rebuked the Pharisees? The ones who followed to the letter the scriptures yet didn't love no one but themselves?

Stop being silly because Mao didn't have any moustache.

  • @MsGnorts and yes i am in fact intolerent of intolerence and people who claim moral supperiority over me and in the back of their minds are thinking how much they will enjoy seeing me tortured in hell while they are in paradise..its enough to make a cat laugh

  • @NotAG4yName In my case, please refer to the comment I've made in which i claim superiority over anyone? Did I say I was a christian? Weren't we discussing if indeed an atheist state of affairs would bring bliss and happinness to minkind as you proclaim?

I've just presented the facts in which Stalinist russia, a COMMUNIST AND ATHEIST STATE AS ACKNOWLEDGED BY HITCHENS was the enemy of manking and happiness, today it is chtistianity! l0l

  • @NotAG4yName Uhum, the same religion used by Martin Luther King,Jr. excuse me...

Fortunately, Jared Lee Loughner was an atheist, the one who shot Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords...

You need to be more coherent in your statements...religion is evil, yet MLK preached from the same Bible the southern racists misunderstood...

DO you hear Pharisees in your head saying to the Christ, we follow every command to the letter?

  • @NotAG4yName Do you know who Maximilian Kolbe was?

  • mika is a prop

  • 1:06 why is he laughing? dickhead

  • You know I have noticed something. Why do atheist seem to out number christians online and how come they are more vocal?

does this mean we are winning?

    I hope so.

  • @thesparitan

Yes, being atheist is the solution to the world's ills....

The world has tried that before like Stalin.

  • @chinchonchinchon Think about that answer for a little while, because I really want you to understand the stupidity of that statement. In fact lets to do a test, I want you to tell me what is a good counter argument to your statement? What do you think I am going to say to disprove that argument? Its an easy one, just take a guess.

  • @thesparitan

That you are an atheist and a bigot and disprove other's opinions as non-valid just because you think I'm of the Benny Hinn&co agenda?

C'mon, just consider that the brightest scientific minds in history believed there was a creator, say Newton, Max Planck, and others, Galileo, Copernicus...

I hope you also can dare to call them stupid.

  • @chinchonchinchon WOW, WOW, WOW. That was so stupid I am actually surprised

I would like to demonstrate the many ways you are a moron, but I don’t think you would understand. I don’t know if you actually understand that I wasn’t calling you an idiot before, I said that you are acting idiotically. Now I am calling you stupid and where did Benny Hinn thing come from? By the way, Isaac Newton believed in alchemy and Galileo was arrested by the church.

    Dam dude, that was FAIL.

  • @thesparitan

No fail at all sir, Just because Galileo was arrested by the church (Not synonim with God), it doesn't mean that he didn't believe in God.

  • @chinchonchinchon What ever, this is pointless.

  • @thesparitan

What is pointless? That you are a bigot and can not read?

  • @chinchonchinchon What the fuck are you talking about. Go away.

  • I don't know why Hitchens bothers to go on Joe Scarborough's show - he knows (after that Christmas debate) that he's having to debate with an arrogant knuckle scraper.

And what makes Joe think he knows more about waterboarding than Hitchens? Has Joe been waterboarded more than once?

  • Did anyone else notice that at 3.54 the guy on the left is a wannabe Hitchens?

  • 7:30 "That would be really bad..."

Lol. He's so bored it's funny.

    7:59 wtf is that music?

Do people on talk shows ever not act like whiny kids when someone disagrees with them? Especially these two fellows - they just turn into cats cornered by a bath. The conservative talk show hosts are just bitchy and the liberals hosts get loud and stupid.

  • @SevenRiderAirForce

I agree. It seems people like Bill O'Reilly or Chris Matthews if you want members of both sides, both just really want to drown out opposition more than they wish to show it for what it is and oppose it.

In my view, that would be the best thing to do to make your point, not look like you're insecure and obfuscatory when you may well be right. I find myself inclining toward the person who's been invited to the talkshow most of the time for that reason.

  • Jeez, who put a camera in front of these two goons?

  • @crazyboyxx so your comparing like breakfast television to al jazeera, way to raise the bar bro

  • that news reader is really out of his depth. I wouldn´t do any better but thats why I´m not a newsreader.

    she´s shit too

  • yep. they laugh when he syas waterboarding is drowning, nice technique shit newsreaders

  • I like how Scarborough and his co-host have nothing to add to the conversation intellectually, aside from subversively trying to defend the CIA as being full of "good Americans" - as though that's a worthwhile point at all.

Neither of them ever actually offers up a substantive counter-point. It's just eight minutes of them taking turns rolling their eyes, and asking really sarcastic questions implying that Hitchens has some deep hatred for the CIA.

American media sucks at their job.

    - Scott

  • Joe: "Well, we certainly differ on that point, but thank you for coming"

Who gives a fuck what you think!! You're a nobody who happens to have a camera in your pretty boy face

  • @Ridabu lol pretty boy? He looks like wiley coyote.

  • And then you're a Banana Republic haha

  • If anything, I'd say he's better when he's drunk.

  • LOL 8 in the morning he's probably thinking: Come on I need to get over this hangover. All kidding aside Hitchens is the man!

  • Christopher Hitchens doesn't get over hangovers. Hangovers get over him.

  • @husky720 HAHAHA

  • @husky720 redundant.

  • @husky720 True, this guy can make Chuck Norris wimp.

  • why were they playing 'everybody wants to rule the world'?

That woman's hilarious at the end, shaking her head and rolling her eyes as Joe asks the last question.

  • AIPAC's Neocon Scarborough & his "yes girl" Mika

Ridicule all legitimate questions concerning 9/11.

Sell & glorify Israeli war propaganda.

    Distractions & division

    Disinformation

  • Why isn't that fuckwit Joe getting on his high horse on this subject when he's got Hitchens on the show - could it be because he knows his would have his balls handed to him?

  • mika needs to have her head shaved so they cannot put her in front of the camera anymore

  • how can you differ with well documented, admitted, historical reality?

  • way to speak up and not fucking laugh about it hitch

  • Can I just say how much I fucking hate that vapid pile of clothing sitting next to Joe Scarborough?

  • You may say that...May I second that...her Hmmm's and haws are incredibly annoying nearly as much as her total lack of intellegence.

  • yeah, a potted plant that occasionally talks...

  • is this chicago in the beginning? frankly its a bit euphemistic to call it "beautiful", is it? :-)

  • Meh when it comes to the religious debate no one can claim complete certainty so your point is moot. He does not have evidence that God does not exist. He only has evidence that God probably does not exist. Now shut the fuck up and see if you can understand the small but important difference infant.

  • Your argument becomes weak and invalid when you have to resort to personal attacks. Boo. You fail.

  • I was returning like for like. If you could read you would see that. Now move on your ignorance is embrassing.

  • It is not his job to disprove that there is a god. It is your job to supply evidence to support your claim

If I were to say that there were giant man eating Unicorns and that everyone was going to be killed by such creatures.

Obviously you'd say "there is no such thing". Is it fair to say, "well, prove its false" and have my claim hold as true? Or is it up to me to give sufficient evidence to support my claim.

The same thing goes for religion and god.

Its up to you to give evidence its true.

  • My comment was deleted so I shall repeat it. Anyone who makes a claim must support that claim with evidence or argument or that claim should not be taken seriously.Even with negative statments like "there is no God" one must give proof otherwise you are assuming what you have yet to prove.

  • Plato86, "My comment was deleted so I shall repeat it."

I don't delete comments unless they contain information of a personal nature. Those that regularly post remarks will bear that out. Perhaps you experienced a YT glitch that I and others have experienced when pasting text rather than typing it in.

You should refrain from making accusations based on supposition rather than evidence. This was my second attempt on this thread due to the problem with pasting your comment as a quote.

  • I did not paste anything it was all original. Perhasp I tried to post when the comment limit was exceeded. Whatever it is there is no need to cry about it with a long reply like that.

  • Plato86 wrt: "Whatever it is there is no need to cry about it with a long reply like that."

Okay how 'bout something short i.e., Dude! You don't have to work so hard at being a dick!

  • so would the same go for "there is a God?"

It's a bit hard to prove a neagtive isn't it?

  • That is the whole point. It is impossible to prove a universal negative. Yes if someone makes the statment " there is a God" he would have to provide some type of proof.

  • ok.

  • Oh my goodness! Every Hitchens video has religious comments even if it is not relevant to his political comments - and it isn't here! Get over the religion thing people or go to one of the religion videos and talk about it there. There are enough of them on Youtube Trust me! This goes for theists, deists, agnostics, and atheistics alike.

I'd say OMG in frustration, but I have a feeling that what just get the atheists and subsequently the theists going again.

  • Your a dick!

  • He's quite right on religion too.

  • I hate Hitchens position on religion but I must say he is quiet right on torture it is nonsense.

  • His position on religion is pretty simple - there's no evidence for it. So until there is, his position is fine.

  • Absence of evidence is a logical fallacy, simply because there is lack of evidence in "x" does not prove OR disprove anything about "x".

  • I wouldn't call it a logical fallacy. It just means that it does not mean your claim is equaly likely to be true or false.

  • It is a logical fallacy, look it up.

  • Actually you're right. I think I just misread your comment, we both mean the same thing.

  • If there is no evidence for something, there is no reason to believe or accept it. Pretty simple. When supporting evidence is presented, a healthy mind will reconsider the proposition.

  • Wrong as the fact there is no evidence no does not prove anything. You can not use negative evidence to prove a point. You should believe in something because there is evidence of it not because there is no evidence of something else.

  • If there is no evidence for a proposition, I have no reason to accept it as fact. I'm not saying that the proposition CAN'T be true...I'm saying that I have no reason to accept it as truth.

By your logic, we should accept any and all propositions as factual so long as they haven't been disproved. Unicorns, fairies, leprechauns, Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster..you name it.

  • No that is not my logic at all, since accepting a proposition as factual so long as it has not been disproved would also be absence of evidence. My reasoning is that if there is no evidence for a proposition we should remain agnostic until further evidence either proves or disproves it. Negative evidence is not evidence at all.

  • Agnosticism has varying meanings depending on who you ask. Depending on your definition, you can remain agnostic. I'll remain skeptical, especially when the claim reflects wish-thinking by the human mind.

For instance...if you tell me that you are related to Jesus, I would essentially be neutral regarding the factual basis of that claim. Maybe you are, I don't know.

But if you tell me you are related to god...I reject extraordinary claims like that if they are unsupported by evidence.

  • Comment removed

  • Essentially, if a claim has no evidence to support it, I'm neutral about it.

But when a claim has no supporting evidence, AND it clearly reflects wish-thinking, I reject it outright. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

You can call this a logical fallacy, I call it a healthy mind functioning properly.

  • What is and is not wishful thinking is subjective or in other words only a matter of taste and thus irrational. I could also say that the proposition " there is no God" has no supporting evidence and is clearly reflects wishful thinking and thus should be rejected outright. Now we are left at where we started, agnosticism. I we don't know we should not make assumption.

  • I'm not making the proposition that there are no gods.

I'm making the proposition that there is no evidence for gods, therefore I have no reason to believe. No assumptions, no certainty.

  • I can see the cameraman on his head.

  • He never argues very much with christopher....He is scared of him....He would own him and he knows it...You better eat your wheetys if you want to debate Christopher

  • hitchens puts on his contrarian jacket

too bad, he supported Bush, still rationalizes murder known as the Iraq war, supports ex-criminals & con-artists('my friend Chalabi")

apparently, torture is more immoral than murder

  • oh jesus...

  • at 5 min in, the blonde is drawing flowers

  • lol

  • What a tool that blond chick is. Did she say anything the entire discussion, or just sit there the whole time waiting for her cue to laugh ridiculingly at his central moment of "over-the-top extreme leftism". Nice job. These big networks should really hire some decent journalists.

  • proof that woman are inferior to men on humor and intellect. no offence-

  • Saying that women are intellectually* inferior to men is obviously inherently offensive. And false. Not that i'm a woman. I don't know why you feel the need to generalize.

  • ofcourse I'm aware of intellectual woman, but most woman are oriented diffrently and therefor most men are intellectuals and front runners in the matter. You just have to take a look at some conventions and you will see that most of the participents are male.

In this time we live in in our westren world both genders have the same possebility's yet men prevail.

(sorry for spelling, hope its coherent)

  • It's coherent. It's quite easily imaginable that women still face prejudice in the workforce in many fields. Probably more in some parts of the west than others. We're in a culture today that celebrates gender equallity, but that doesn't necessarily mean that women get hired equally easily. Also, i bet it's a very large factor that not as many women even apply for many types of jobs, which could be because of social inequallity, of which there is certainly plenty.

  • you can tell just on his face joe was going to explode

  • Man, Scarborough always sounds like a moron when he speaks. And what role does the clueless looking woman play on this dreadful program? To state the obvious and repeat what others say...

  • did you see how they tried to make Hitchens sound anti american and shit.

  • It's because Hitchens laughs at their imaginary god. They hate anyone who doesn't conform to their narrow view of the world and existence...even when they are pro-Iraq war like Hitchens! Scarborough believes that his job is to tell others what to think.

Watching Scarborough's program is like watching a big turd dry in the sun...except the turd is more interesting.

  • i reckon, they can't think outside their preconceived idea's

  • The foundational purpose of the media is not to inform, it is to deceive, to obfuscate, and to frame issues and thus shape the abstration known as "public opinion." All media, with a few exceptions, is there for a Rush-like "ditto" response. The intention is not for the watcher to think but to repeat.

Hannity-Joe S-types want orthodoxy and hate sharp minds with independent ideas. Hitch often has to ask why did you invite me on if you just want to tell me YOUR opinion?

  • i completely agree with you dude.

the media always dilute and manipulate the evidence or argument.

  • I think Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi propaganda minister said it best: The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over."

  • Hilter himself had a quote on propaganda as well

"All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach."

  • Scarborough is such a smug bastard....

  • Hitchens always looks a bit wonky because, I think, he likes to drink whiskey and scotch.

    Hehe.

  • yeah i notice probably gets him into debate mode lol

  • He doesn't like to drink it. He loves it!

And yet he's still more brilliant than 99% of the population.

  • Why does Hitchens always look like he's sick and about to pass out?

  • I think if most of us were as informed as he is, we'd feel a bit sick too.

  • The music was annoying

  • "I think it's a very long time since the CIA was very much use to us"

Well, they gave us crack and LSD.

  • Mika is a cunt

  • Yea... A very pretty cunt...

  • Oh my goodness, when will MSNBC get rid of Joe Scarborough? He just simply spews right wing talking points everyday. Now he and the republicans are trying to politicize the torture issue. Liberals don't care who goes down for this torture. We want the truth to be known.

  • Nancy Pelosi, from what I hear. But she's not "going down" anytime soon. She's back-pedaling rather quickly, covering her tracks, lying and denying.

  • "...that's what we're about"

    [applause]

Thank you. Thank you, Mika, you're journalistic input is provokative and stirring. I'd start making space for a Peabody Award...

  • LOL, yeah really come on. Joe: "Well I certainly disagree on that point" Mika: "uh...ya yup we do." (pause) "but that's what we're about" regarding the apparently controversial assertion of that facilitators of torture might be sadists and criminal actors.

What is wrong with this country, christ.

  • WOW, that bitch was dumb, Joe is a fucking moron and Hitchens was far too polite and short-tongued. He should have destroyed them.

What gets me the most is not the sly gestures of ignorance and misleading lies that the media pedals, it's the fact that people watch it and bob their heads in concurrence.

  • No doubt about it... there's a whole lotta bobbin' goin' on.

  • eqsmooth: Totally agree with you on the dumb bimbo that contributes absolutely nothing except her looks.

  • The Hitch is not a morning guy.

  • At that time, It's probably still night for him.

  • haha hitchens really isn't a morning guy. He looks like he is drifting in and out of consciousness, yet he remains far more lucid than the others! Genius

  • Who is that trophy secretary Joe has next to him? Useless. She contributes nothing. She guffaws at Hitchens last comment like it was incendiary and controversial. Really stupid and it is truly sexist and pointless to have her on.

Hitchens sounds a little like like Ron Paul here which is cool. Paul would destroy the CIA completely but Hitchens would take a wrecking ball to it and start all over. Why not?

Even when hungover like a dog Christopher is the most together guy on any show or panel.

  • Although I agree with some of what you write, I believe Mika Brzezinski is exhibiting not so much "guffaw" but rather nervousness knowing that Joe Scarborough is prone to explosive behavior. As those that have watched Morning Joe, it is a rare occurrence that a 'guest' disagrees with Scarborough's political bent and when they do, Joe spends the rest of the show ridiculing and berating them while looking for support from the 'guest(s)' that followed.

  • (con't) This recently happened with Mika's own father. watch?v=0mk18af8z9Y

Now I'm not defending Mika Brzezinski, but Scarborough is an ill-tempered, chauvinistic, pro-torture, pro-secret government, reactionist of the worst kind.
