The Blackening is hands down the best Machine Head record ever and perhaps one of the best metal records ever. Much props to the other albums they did. They werent doing many harmonys or crazy leads until Phil joined the band. Anybody that plays guitar can make a riff but most poeple cant shred. I think Phil made a huge impact on Machine Head and I hope they all stick together cuz the next album will be brutal. Machine head RULES!

Machine Head is definitely up there with Lamb of God, not Pantera, Pantera is more than just another metal band.But Machine Head has a much more original sound and have been around for a longer than Lamb of God. And even if you dislike them, they are far from being the WORST thing ever. Fall Out Boy, Devil Wears Prada and shit like that is far worse. These are still talented musicians playing difficult songs with raw emotion.
