  • love this watch!!!

  • Just get an Eco-drive...much less hassle!

  • ugly as hell

  • SCHIZOPRENIC GUESS INTERNATIONAL INSTRUCTION MANUAL PROCESSOR

  • this is porn for me!

  • This watch is cool. I think I'd always be trying to charge it up to full lol.

  • mine has over one month power reserve...love this watch!

  • Nice job. Hey, may I ask how big your wrist is? This is a cool watch but I'm concerned it would look monstrous on my 6.5" wrist.

  • isnt seiko "fuck" in japanese? if you sont belive me check in google translator

  • @pataponmaster5 Hmmmm, that's interesting, lol.

  • @pataponmaster5 Kuso. Not Seiko

  • How much does this watch cost?

  • Does it ever runs out of power though, if you wear it everyday?

  • this clock is 1000 euros in Ro

  • Make no mistake : Quality & Looks Wise Seiko watches are as Good as Longines or Omega..yet Seiko costs almost half the price of Longines or Omega..I think LONGINES & OMEGA charge extra for Celebrity Brand Ambassador like James Bond,George Clooney,Aishwarya Rai, Cindy Crawford...

  • 1 month power reserve is awesomeness

  • Do we have to wind to give charge every hour or week or month ? How many times we have to wind in a year approx ?

  • @slpvm its kinetic it'll charge by the movement if your hand when you wear it

  • @gukoboy THANKS FOR REPLY. IF ITS KINETIC THEN WHY NEED TO WIND FOR CHARGING WATCH.

  • @slpvm its an extra option to charge like you don't always wear it on your hand, and you want to keep running cuz it'll lose accuracy if it stops

  • @gukoboy Thanks for the answer. Now I understand clearly.

  • I've got a Seiko 5M43. it's around 20 years old... maybe older, and i just started using it! I'm still confused about the AM/PM system... anyone want to help me out? :D

  • I have a Seiko with belonged to my father, its 27 years old and still works great!!! Everyday use and no problems at all. It even look very modern, not like it has its age.

  • le systéme semble pas terrible, il faut toujours la remontée pendant pour qu'elle puisse avoir de la reserve ? sinon elle ne fonctionne pas ?

  • it has no antireflective coating its easy to see even on camera

  • what does power indicator do i still dont understand.

  • I have more than one watch and this one gets more attention than any of the others, regardless of their price. The video does not do it justice, in the flesh it is a real piece of eye candy. Highly recommended.

  • i purchased this watch about one year ago, and i have to say its my favorite watch. The amount of people that have admired my watch and commented on its presence is remarkable. if your thinking of buying one. i say : don't hesitate, you will not be sorry

  • My first watch will be a Rodania in 1 week.

  • I just bought this watch today thanks to this and DougFJN's review. It truly is amazing!

  • @jcnp24 same here :) thx to this video i got this 1to..

  • @mlyleo how much is this?

  • @scotfreak 4-500 £

  • @scotfreak hi! I bought this watch at the discounted price of SIN$1,500/- It is very expensive watch and I adore it first time I saw it. So no one can stop me from buying it even though it took my whole savings just simply to get it.

  • i bought it last Friday nice watch......:)

  • i bought it last Friday nice watch.....:)

  • who you calling a seiko

  • Awesome!!!!

but i like the seiko SRX003P1 even more,

    but its 1000 euro's :(

  • Cool technology, but I'd rather take the shorter power reserve of an automatic watch just to have the sweeping second hand.

  • Good looking watch. Love the model, size, finish, but sorry, don't like kinetics,I prefer automatics, and Seiko makes Great Automatics. Also Spring Drive Watches are superb. Anyway, good review.

  • I prefer kinetics because you never need to switch out the battery, so you save some money, also I heard when you need to open up the watch to replace the battery, it can compromise the water resistance. You do not have to worry with a kinetic watch cause you dont have to open it up.

  • i like watching watch reviews cuz i can see at exactly what time they shot the video ;)

  • Scyllllla: So if I am passionate about a topic which you don't see eye to eye with, I can take the initiative to generalize and put you down?

  • It's just that some people don't like to admit they don't know what they're talking about.

  • just bought this watch today for 480 euro and its worth every penny.........

  • 500 bucks for a quartz watch ha ha ha

  • whats so funny m8, retail price here is 940 euro... is it a quartz?

  • of course it is, seconds movement is not smooth.

Funny thing is quartz is worthless

automatic movement are the best thing on earth for watch lovers.

  • what brand watch has automatic movement for less then 900 bucks? this was my budget and i dont know alot about watches so im quit intressted on wat you think is a good watch for its value?

  • A LOT !

Check HAMILTON watches, i got one, these are wonderful automatic watches, and not too pricey.

  • That's an oversimplification. Many quality watch brands make quartz watches, and it's a mistake to assume the movements are cheaply made. Sinn and Breitling are just two examples. Quartz movements have their own use, and in fact many pilots prefer them for their accuracy.

  • i agree for the accuracy. but who 's a pilot here ?

i set up my automatic every week, its a personal pleasure and im way more accurate than most people (+3 second per day) cause i take care of it.

every guy who loves watches will say the same thing; quartz is for amateurs or people who dont know shit about clockwork. thats a fact..

  • That's your opinion, but it's not necessarily true. I love automatic watches as well, but if accuracy was important above all else I woudn't use an automatic. To say that quartz movements are necessarily cheap or only appeal to those who don't know about watches is snobbery.

  • call it snobbery if you want, i call it passion.

    if i want accuracy i ll buy a 20€ Casio ;)

  • As I said, some people prefer accuracy. I love mechanical watches. Latest acquisition was a SInn EZM3, a superb dive watch and beautifully made.

  • your choice. dive watches are inelegant to me. as soon ure happy its ok ;) i got Hamilton Power reserve, just what i need

  • 20 euros? lol you mean at least 80

  • i don't know much about watches, but when you say automatic movement, do you mean radio controlled? is that like the same?

  • radio controlled ??

No its just work by its own, via mechanical movements. If you wear it everyday it will never stop.

  • dont say "radio controlled ??" Didn't you read the part where I told you I don't know much about wathces? jeez

  • hey calm the fuck down douche... din't Scyllllla help you???

  • how much does this cost??? how much would i have to spend to get tourbillione watch.. ??

  • I bought Seiko Velatura Yaghting Timer and it looks more beatiful than this one.I bought it 2 weeks ago and I love it!

  • lol its cool tough but the price is almost at the level at the tag heuer entry level so i would prefer to buy a tag heuer

  • Direct drive kinetic is one of the coolest watch technologies. Thanks for the detailed video.

  • how much is this watch?

  • 550 wanna buy it???

  • no i was just asking for the price

  • I orderded this watch today. Hope i have it soon because i can't wait to wear it :-D

  • hand model!

  • Geat ! Seiko number 1 !!!!!!!!!

  • agree about the beauty, disagree about the charging, it's great to have the handwine function in addition to the auto movement

  • @Patrick3331 The hand charging is awesome. Even if it's just a gimmick, it's a cool gimmick.

  • @TheStig000 Believe me, this watch is no gimmick. I bought this exact model about 18 months ago and it works like magic. Its extremely accurate, lights up like a torch once the lum is charged and mine has run for 31 days tested. Very under rated watch. Extremely solid and can really take a hard knock. I love mine and it still works perfectly. Don't think I will ever sell it. Looks very sophisticated on the wrist as well as very comfortable.

  • Look at the bracelet clasp. Very similar to the one Omega uses on their Seamaster Pro 300, a "non-biting" clasp.

  • i know this is sad, but if i had that watch i would be winding it all the time, its a great feature, i ahve a seiko automatic at the moment and its good

  • what for seiko automatic do you have?

    How much did it cost?

Thinking about getting one myself, those things are really something beautiful

  • Seiko's are one of the most under-rated watches.

  • After owning a SEIKO Orange Monster for a month now I must agree. The build quality and accuracy is surprising me for $154. Built way better than my Tissot Seastar 1000. We'll see how it stacks up against my ORSA Monstrum when it arrives. SEIKO FTW!!!

  • $154, is that with a rubber strap or a steel bracelet?

if it's the bracelet, where did you get it? thanks

  • @soulmojo7 why?

  • @soulmojo7 So true. Seiko makes GREAT GREAT watches.

  • I have the SEIKO VELATURA KINETIC DIRECT DRIVE SRH001P1...Is a great watch!

  • wow thats kool

  • Hello, I have a Seiko SPL008 Which I like VERY much, I'm wanting another Seiko that is a more high end one. Where is the cheapest place to buy the exact model you are holding?

    Thank you

  • Chris can u let me know by any chance if u still have this watch if you are able to hear the movement of the kinetic dial when u shake the watch? i purchased this watch a few weeks ago and all of the sudden i notice i can hear the kinetic arrow moving when i shake my arm. i never really noticed this and want to make sure that i am not going crazy or do not have a broken watch at this point.

i cannot hear it when the watch is not within 12 inches of my ear but if closer i can

    Thx

    Dan

  • You've probably got an answer for this by now but mine does the same thing, so i think it'll be OK.

  • Comment removed

  • Christian, YOU ARE DANGEROUS!!!! I am purchasing the Rose Gold on the Black rubber strap tomorrow. Great job showing the Direct Drive technology. Keep up the great work.

  • doug does your watch make a noise when u move it, i posted above. can u respond to my question about the kinetic drive dial making nosie or seem sorta noisy if the watch isnear your ear when moving?

    thx

    dan

  • The only thing that makes noise when I move it is the movement on the inside....keep in mind if you have a bracelet on yours, that could be making the noise.

  • no its definetly not any type of braclet noise its the dial or gauge inside the watch on the face, specifically the gauge for the kinetic drive.

do u hear the noise on yours?

    thx

    dan

  • would it be possible to get one with a working bezzle

  • That charging feature is just too cool!! Excellent review.

  • You were far more useful than the bloke in the shop that I bought this from. Mine's slightly different with a blue face and no black on the strap, boo :(

  • great review and watch, thanks!

  • great one, looking for a watch for my wedding gift, practical.

  • nice seiko, seiko do make some great watches

  • More video reviews please, soooo much better than written ones :D

  • Is it really too much to ask for a Perpetual Calendar on such a big watch? Boo Seiko.

Honestly, It's not like I'm asking for a Titanium case.

  • great review these watches are awesome

  • An excellent review. Christian, you have lovely diction, just right for the subject of a watch review.
