I have conected my samsung p2370h with the mini dvi to dvi connector and my p2350 vga with the minidisplay to vga connector but the VGA display wont work.. i've tried with 2 different vga monitors and nothing happens even rebooting the mac mini and leaving just the minidisplay to vga connected the mac wont recognize the monitor (just the dvi)
(the minidisplay to vga addapter was working fine and i doubt its broken)
@crouchingtiger1000 - I don't think it will slow down too much, most games right now can't use dual display anyway, so I would just normally disconnect one display while running the game. In Wow tho you may be able to use one screen for the main game, and the second for like UI stuff.. Action bars and what not. Just play around with screen resolution to find what works to your needs as well. - thanks for the comment.
i have a 2.0ghz mac mini with 4gb of ram.. i planning to do the same thing but with 2 p2350 samsung monitors.. have you monitored the cpu activity?? how is the perfomance
The CPU % and mem usage is pretty low depending on what apps you got running. I have 4Gb of ram too, we pretty much have the same setup, I just have smaller monitors. I am able to run both Samsung displays at 1920x1080 resolution without and performance loss. Your setup should perform the same. - Enjoy your new setup and thanks for the comment. :)
quick question. Want to get a Mac Mini, and I got a new DELL LCD monitor, a 20". It was a budget monitor, so its only VGA. I found on many forums that the mini has issues displaying on a VGA monitor. However, these threads are from 05 and 06, when the mini had the standard DVI port. Now that it has this new display port with a vga adapter...has the issue been resolved? I want to ensure that I get the brightest cleanest display possible. (even though i bought a cheap monitor!) thanks.
somebody sad that the mac mini can handle only one monitor :) now I will definetly go for a mac mini as my first mac machine. and the mini dvi to dvi cable is comming with the mac mini.
I had a setup similar on my gaming rig, dual XFX 7800 GTX, used it for my video editing, also had a CRT monitor for displaying the final product aswell as a MiniDV player to transfer footage..lol i miss it, my OCZ power supply caught fire somehow so now i gotta find another cap for it and replace it but its 500 miles away from where im at lol..i also forgot my soldering irons..going through withdrawls :(
Thanks man.. That's crazy how your PSU caught fire... I used to have a PC that was a custom build, and I used it for about a year or so and the graphics card I was using (I think it was an Ati Radeon HD4700 I think) and the fan stopped working on it and it melted itself to the GPU and died lol. I was kind of sad really haha.
Yeah, i was kinda sleepin and my computer kicked on by its self nd i started smelling burnt PCB board so i got up and saw sparks comming out of my PSU then it started glowing orange and red, i freaked.
Mine had an AMD X2, 4gb RAM, 5 HDD's in RAID0 Array, 2 Nvidia XFX 7800GTX in SLI on a (Was Asus Sli-Premium Mobo) DFI Lanparty Mobo running 64bit Media Center Edition Windows, watercooled with DangerDan water blocks and the sort.. yeah graphics cards really dont last too long, a year tops maybe.
I've always wanted a water cooled system, but I didn't really have anything that high end to actually need it lol. In the future though, I want to build a core i7 system that would kick. Or a core i9 I suppose it would have to be, by the time I get around to it, it should already be a common chip LOL.
Yup that is true, with a PC it's just straight up DVI ports. How do I get white teeth? Lol just brush them everyday, I use whitening toothpaste from collgate I think. Then floss, you can also use whitening formula, works really well. - thanks for the comment. :)

Apple makes both mini-Dvi/Mini-display port adapters to both VGA and DVI. For instance I'm using both Mini-dvi to Dvi and mini-display port to dvi.

Yup they can now have dual monitors. Thanks to Nvidia's graphics chipset. Good luck on purchasing your first Mac! Thanks also for the comment. :)
