I'm from New York and I'm a huge Yankees fan. Our stadium will be coming down this year as well, it's hard to believe that there are only two classic ballparks left. Sad to see a stadium with this much history go.
Wow! Sad to see. I'm and Oriole fan, but I have been to Detroit on two separate occasions, just to catch some games at Tiger Stadium (including the last one). Also, the games I went to werent even O's games. I just simply went to experience this historic stadium first hand..and I'm very glad I did. I am sadened and angry that the Tigers lat this happen. Because of this, I am boycotting Comerica Park...and not just for a few years, but 4-ever. I will always treasure my visits to Tiger Stadium!!
For me, if nothing else, my own little personal boycott makes be feel a bit better about all of it. And even if that's all it does, it's worth doing...for me anyway.
