Listeria has traveled to refridgerators and countertops throughout Canada from the infected meat at MapleLeaf. That infection is now in homes industries and institutions, on the very cutting boards of Canadians. MapleLeaf was unable to eradicate the bacterium and had to remove and replace all equipment. The same has not been done for homes hospitals and industry. Ontario and Canada now suffer from untenable levels of listeria in the common environment. Do you eat food in or from Canada?

totally preventable he blamed the manufacture of the machine, they r of course cleanable, they didnt clean the necessary times & tainted Schneider's good name!!

for cold food this is a common concern and an easy fix.THIS IS WHY pregnant women arent allowed to eat certain foods w out cooking 1st???

my husband also ate the tainted meat so we were very scared

we are very diligent when it comes to food safety.

poor suckers. their stomachs can only handle "sterile meat". well guess what your royal hinies, listeria is everywhere just like everything else. our world isn't sterile and it's never been. if you people want to live long to eternity, wash your fruit and meats with detergent, then eat. flu kills more than listeria could ever kill in any given time. so wake up people and stop the hysteria! get real. wash your hands after you use the toilet!

Merci de votre réponse JLCchannel exactement! Je penses que les grands responsables sont nos gouvernements!! C'est à eux d'y voir et faire en sorte qu'il y ait assez d'inspecteurs pour faire les vérifications nécessaires de salubrité dans ce genre d'usines!

C' est bien beau les coupures de toutes sortes et a priori ont se demande ou va cet argent !!!!! Mais quand c'est la vie des gens qui est menacés il y a vraiment des questions a se poser !

"Eight deaths, all of them in Ontario, are now being blamed on the outbreak, while seven others - four in Ontario and one each in Quebec, B.C. and Saskatchewan - remain under investigation, say federal health officials.

At last count Thursday, a total of 29 cases had been linked to the outbreak and 36 others remained under investigation."

Did you see in the paper today, it turns out execs at McCain probably new of the problem 4 days before the public announcement and infact informed their distributors 4 days earlier. Did they not understand the danger, were they trying to stifle it before it went public or did a local manager try to bury the problem. When did the CEO find out?

The CEO found out once the gouverment (SP) tested it and it was positive for Lisertiosis.

AND, apparently another cause of Listeriosis was found in Quebec in some cheese. The cheese was not provided by Maple Leaf Meats and was in the store. So now the Outbreak is cause by 2 areas.

Unless you are in a high risk group like infant, elderly or you have a weakened immune system there is apparently little risk, don't worry for nothing it's not necessary
