now this is just me, but it would sound dope if u use the snare from footsteps in the dark by the isley brothers, the hat from pete rocks 'the boss' but only half the steps within the pattern u use now(otherwise its sounds a bit dirty south) and maybe leave the kick but not as hard, should give it a nice 9th wonder touch, or maybe use the kick from honey drippers 'impeach the president'...no hating though nice sample...

Nice beat but the only problem with looping samples are there are not enough tracks on the beat to keep the tune from getting monotonous and old quick. It sounds like this sample is a great slow building intro. The beat kicks in making your head nodd just to go right back to the slow intro beat.

nice beat. the sample is on point. however, i'm not a huge fan on the FL drums. it sounds like you are using stock drums. take a breakbeat and chop up the drums using fl slicer. replace your kicks with a kick from the breakbeat. if you use old drums, it will sound more genuine. you can find other claps to replace the stock clap. get the drums replaced and you will have yourself a classic.

Its a good start man. The hand claps in the beginning are too harsh and the other beat that you drop in is a little too factory for my taste. I like the sample you use though. Try to find another piece from the track to cut away too. That'll give the rhymesayer something to write around, kinda change up the flow. Hope thats helpful.
