no it added terrible unnecessary things to the superman storyline. A bastard child....an actionless story........a cheating Lois Lane (how shortly after leaving would Lois need to get it on for her to believe it's another man's child?).........a peeping tom Superman.......a plan by Lex Luthor that makes little sense (you can grow land. Great. Who would let you rule it?)..........I would've preffered Superman starting from scratch with nods to the Reeves movies.
