All in all, if I had to judge this at contest, just based off the standards used by Texas UIL, the Georgia Music Educators Assoc. and the Florida Bandmasters Assoc, I would rate this, given this IS a collegiate band, on a scale of 5 to 1 with 1 being the best and 5 the worst, I give this a 4.....acceptable, but NEEDS SERIOUS WORK. I dig SU, and have for YEARS, but this aint gon cut it. Hope yall bring ya A game to ATL this fall fellas.

I can actually tell you the things wrong in this song.

1.It starts off nice, but soon after you hear outta tune woodwinds and first trumpets.

2.It gets a lil better when the band picks up on the vamp, but soon after on the hook, there is this ONE piccolo that doesnt kno the music and is horribly outta tune @ 1:26

3. For the rest of the song half of the band is having serious articulation issues I should not hear out of a college band. from 2:08 and beyond the song just falls apart

Think I commented on this already. Its ok, but in a song like this you gotta have some depth of tone and some funky ass harmonies going on. This arrangement gives me none of that. But, funny thing is, Ive heard this live in a stadium...sounded 100% different. Nonetheless, this coulda been better and to say that Ive heard buddy from WM write his natural ass off before, Im left empty off this song.

Oh yeah.....dynamics and high notes does NOT equal intensity or quality. #imjustsayin.......

I like some aspects of this clip, but overall buddy from Washington Marion did not do SWV any justice. I coulda wrote WAY better than this.

Second, no one is playing 2gether, and there are several intonation issues. This sounds like pure shit.....4 real. No good jukebox. Ive heard way better.
