@GuyNo22 your computer may not be compatible with the software. Or if that's not the case try updating to the newest version of or desktop or laptop. If none of these help Just delete the program and redownload it. I had the same problem and all I did was download again and it worked.

@narutothe10 My video tutorial is 9 months old and they have updated the software since then. It's mostly the same, though. I don't think the latest version has a 'Save Settings' button.
@F12Y14N25 Yeah, my video is of an older version of the software. You don't need to click Save Setting, it does it for you automatically. As for why it won't record, not sure. Check out some comments below for possible answers.
@knagen1 If I understand your question correctly, no, you aren't required to play in a windowed mode. You can play your game in full screen and the green square should still come up.
Hey dude, how do you add your speaking audio clip to the video. The wegame allows you to listen in on the game but now what you are saying. Plus the editing process. What would you consider to be a convenient editor for short (10-20) minute videos?
@lagstyre I actually used Camtasio Studio to record the tutorial, and I had a pretty nice mic hooked up. I know you can add audio, though. Go to the user forum. Someone put up some simple instructions there.
@r00sterteethAHWU Well, I only used Camtasia for the tutorial here, and as you can see, I only recorded a small bit of gameplay. Camtasia isn't good for recording gameplay. Much better to use WeGame. However, Camtasia is excellent for doing a tutorial and then being able to edit it, add audio tracks, add transitions, etc.

Other possible solutions: (1) Start the game, and THEN open WeGame. (2) Right-click on the WeGame program, and choose Run as Administrator. @lorki3 I don't believe it does, but I haven't tried. Usually I record the video, import it into an editing program like Camtasia Studio, and then add the voiceover. Theoretically you could just hook up the microphone and speak into it while playing your game and recording the screen.
@SuperMrmrt Not sure, I haven't compared them. The big weakness of WeGame, in my opinion, is that it doesn't seem to support a bunch of games I'd like to see supported. Fraps might work with more games. If I ever compare them, I'll let you know what I think.
@nicholas2090 I went to the WeGame website and checked the system requirements...I'm afraid it doesn't work on Mac. :-( Looks like they haven't created a version for Mac yet.

Apparently there are a bunch of games that WeGame just doesn't work with, so I would send them an email and request that your game starts to work with their software. I had a similar problem. I wanted to record an older game, Planescape: Torment, but it's doesn't work with WeGame, so I plan to email them about it. You could also search their forum.

I recently tried recording The Witcher 2, but the game crashes whenever I press the record hotkey. So I feel your pain and am sorry I don't have much other advice for you right now. :-[

I've started a game several times without seeing the dot. Then I just restart the game and it appears. If all else fails, go to WeGame's website. They have a pretty good help center / FAQ / tech support.
@Dadedou You're right, it's not there anymore. They must have removed it as part of their latest software update. So, it looks like you can just change the settings and the program automatically saves them for you. No need to click Save Settings anymore. I tested this quickly (using the latest updated version of WeGame), and it seems to work just fine. Let me know if you still have issues and maybe I can help.

@rleon321 First, create a YouTube account. Then, when you're in your account, click Upload. When in your Upload box, navigate to the .avi files you created using WeGame and select the one you want to upload. All your WeGame videos should be on your desktop somewhere.
@diossy101 Darn, that stinks. Wish I could help. Maybe double check that you meet all the system requirements? I know the WeGame website also has a support forum that addresses your issue, since a lot of players have had it.
Sorry you're having issues. Have you tried changing the hotkey to a different one and seeing if it works? Or perhaps trying a different to see if it works on that one?
