OMG i had no idea that he had cancer! :( wow this is going to make me cry. When he passes it will definitely be on eof the worst days of my life. Thank you JP for all the wonderful memories.
If i won the lotery tommorow i would pay for his statue and the city of seatle owes him that at the very least, you are one in a billion Mr. WEEDES J.P. PATCHES and you are very much loved around BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADA ,i wish that i could have met you but watching for all those years as a kid i feel that i do know & love you very much,GOD BLESS YOU!
That is so cool. I used to get to high school about 45 minutes before school started. I'd turn on the TV to JP Patches every morning. Not only was he and sidekick Bob Newman (Gertrude, Ketchikan the Animal Man, Charlie Can Do,) extremely funny, but JP also showed the best cartoons (Jay Ward and old Warner Bros.) Thanks for the laughs, Mr Wedes. God bless you.
aww man!!! J.P. is the greatest! this makes me happy but sooo sad at the same time. i've met him twice and he has always been the greatest!!! he made such a huge impact on so many generations in seattle. The city should just pay for it! loose the sonics and keep J.P.!!!! yea!
I hired JP to appear at my high school reunion this past August. It was fun watching a roomful of almost-50-year-olds become kids again. :-)

Bob and Chris should have been nationwide. I can't imagine my childhood without them.

I wrote him and told him how I was praying for him. He wrote back very kindly thanking me for caring. Very Humble.
